Arlington County keeps making really cool parks. This one is tucked away, but a great neighborhood park. There is some good open space as well as playground equipment that I wish they had when I was just a kid. Other great features about this park: multiple tables, benches and other seating areas; basketball court; water fountain. Best of all, everything is brand new!

This was the old Clay school and then Clay park. Arlington county renovated with all new equipment and rain gardens (they had to dig out the remains of the Clay school foundation to put in the water gardens). Lots of benches, good basketball, open field and jungle gyms.

Love, love the Henry Clay Park. Took both my boys there when they were small, and had an awesome time. Fond memories that we laugh about for years to come. Cannot wait for the re-designed, updated Henry Clay Park.

Kinda boring for my 2 year old. My 4 year old was disappointed she couldn't climb to go down the big slide. Poor design really. Should have stairs or a better, logical climbing solution for the other kids. So we were stuck playing at the smaller playground with these small slides and older kids riding they're bikes all around us, making it even harder for my kids to play because they were being circled on the playground instead of riding they're bikes on the designated path. Such ashame. Won't be going back. Not to mention the main trashcan had something dead in it and was...

This is a very nice park in a great neighborhood. There is a section for both older kids (5+) and young toddlers. There is minimal shade (bring sunscreen) but there is a water fountain. Biggest downside is the daycares nearby bring tons of children on the weekdays 2 or 3 times a day, which makes things a bit more chaotic and less private. There is a big basketball court, large field to play games, but the playgrounds and swings are...

Pros: brand new, exciting, good location, challenging equipment, picnic tables

Cons: no shade, every piece of equipment requires crossing or climbing a ropes course to access the slide so if your kid isn't confident in that there's just swings and little slides on the hill. My 2yo loves ropes so she's confident but still couldn't do the big structure. A kid who isn't great on a rope bridge couldn't do either thing.

2 hour...
