Caliber Computer — Attraction in Cookeville

If you want quality and expert service at a reasonable rate then Caliber is just the place for you. After getting a virus on my laptop it went completely awry. I was in a panic. I thought I lost everything and wasn't sure who to go to after being ripped off years before by another privately owned business. I'm not the type that knows a lot about computers or I wasn't at the time. A friend suggested I take my laptop to Caliber. Thanks to the guys at Caliber my laptop was fixed and working great in no time flat. Last year, the plug-in port on my laptop got damaged... I didn't think it would be able to fixed. I was distraught because I wasn't in a situation to afford another computer. Not only was Caliber able to fix my laptop, they fixed it quickly and at the cheapest rate around. They also ran a free diagnostic and discovered I had some Malware. They took the time to talk to me about programs to protect from viruses and offered advice on Malware related problems. I learned more from them in half an hour about computers and basic care than I learned in years. No joke. I'm a die hard fan of Caliber now because they actually care about the customer. They really take the time to help and in my book that means the world. Most places would take advantage of someone like me who knows very little. I appreciate the help and work they have done for me. Caliber Computer is probably the only competent computer shop in Cookeville. Might sound harsh, but I honestly believe that. Kyle knows his stuff and is all around a great guy to have work on your devices. They won't try to rip you off with old hardware that came out a decade ago, unlike others in town...

I was missing my CPU fan brackets for my ASRock B350M Pro4 motherboard and updated to a Ryzen 2700X, which required said brackets for its fan. Caliber was the only store around that had said parts, which was a godsend given that it's an annoying piece to track down online. Kyle even helped me attach the brackets to the backplate without question. When all was said and done, I was telling Kyle that I was selling my old 1300X/1050Ti to a friend, and he gave me some spare thermal paste to give to my friend which was super unexpected and nice, especially since it comes pre-applied on the Ryzen coolers so I didn't have any extra of my own to use.

Honestly, when it comes to computer shops, you really won't find better customer service and care than you will at Caliber. I can tell Kyle truly loves computers and cares about the business, so he'll definitely care for whatever device you bring in. Caliber's the only place I really trust to...

Caliber computer did excellent work for me twice, first by dismounting the pump on an AIO cooler and replacing the thermal paste and then by replacing the cooler entirely when the thermal paste didn't solve my problem and it ended up being a faulty pump. I was offered two coolers as a solution, a 360mm AIO similar to the faulty one or a Peerless Assassin 120mm fan. The fan was cheaper and yet Kyle still explained the expected temperature differences on my system and even recommended the cheaper fan. He then went above and beyond by rearranging my case fans as well for better air flow, something that he absolutely didn't have to do and easily could have tried to charge me extra for after the fact. He did not, and he explained why he made the change to me and told me what to expect to see temperature wise when I got home and powered it up.

Everything Kyle said to me was true. If you're looking for a computer repair shop or looking to buy one of your own, I feel comfortable recommending Caliber Computer to anyone in the Cookeville area. Both Kyle and his staff are professionals who genuinely want to do right by their customers, and I will certainly be taking my business here again...
