1st off they always say try a restaurant at least 3 times before doing a review. Tonight was our 3rd and final time. Husband made reservations over the phone he asked about a corking fee and they said sure. Today they say no outside drinks or food can be brought in. Their wine list is subpar. He requested a table not near the door since last time we nearly froze and so did our food from being right next to the door. We were greeted by the host she was friendly. They sat us at the last table before the back room(private event going on). My chair was in the isle. So I moved to the side of the table. So glad I did because the traffic into the back room I would have gotten hit every time they went by. We ordered Drinks. 10 mins later we ordered a small plate. 5 mins or so the small plate came out. Still no drinks! So I would say 20+ mins to get our drinks. My drink was so strong not in a good way. Waitress suggested I add water to it. That is laughable. She could have offered to make it weaker. She left and came back asked if I wanted more of the coffee to add to it. I said sure I will try that. Needless to say that drink sat on the table until we left. Small plate sausage balls 7/10. Dinner Filet 8/10 over salted. Mac and Cheese was like soup waitress said that is how it is. My grits were cold. I asked the waitress to heat them up and they came back at least warm. I also, got fish tacos (beer battered cod) for being Cod they were very fishy tasting and not light, white, or fluffy. This cod was frozen beer battered that you can get from any grocery store. Our waitress was not seen most of the night. We have tried at least 15 things from their menu within the 3 visits. This visit being the worst out of the 3 times. Steak being 8/10. Everything else I wouldn't rate. Next time I will drive to Nashville for better quality at similar prices. After our 1st visit I recommended this restaurant to many people. 2nd visit I was hoping it was just an off night. But, tonight let me know that our 2nd time there was not an off night.
Totally ruined my...
Read moreWe came here for a birthday party. They had a large table set up for us in the back, which I thought was great until we could barely hear each other over all the kitchen noise- kitchen staff talking about personal stuff, blender, dishes, etc. We were there for happy hour (3-5pm), it was confusing what was half off and what wasn't. Small plates are half off and the Dave's Drop and Better Berry cocktail, wine and beer. Our waiter was polite, but for the most part we felt like an inconvenience to him. Service was very slow and we had to ask for everything. To order, to get refills, to get our bill. It wasn't busy at the time. The food was quite good though some things were a bit more salty than I would like. Even the salt loving person in our group said some things were too salty for them. We highly recommend the sausage balls and baked mac and cheese off of the dinner menu (available after 4pm). I ordered the spicy Paloma and I recommend it if you like savory drinks, it was perfectly spicy and balanced. My husband tried to inform our waiter that the urinal was overflowing when you flushed it and he did not care. Another party member had baked a cake and brought it to the restaurant. When greeted at the door she was told outside food wasn't allowed, which I totally understand, but then they grabbed it from her and took it away without an explanation or anything. That...
Read moreMy husband and I have high standards for dining out and are often disappointed with area options. We reserved a table at the Putnam Room in the middle of the week, and although the restaurant was nearly full when we arrived a tad early, we were seated immediately. Rebecca, the bartender, made us some delicious drinks, and I highly recommend the Dave Drop if you’re a martini person. She was an excellent server as well, giving us the right amount of space and time to enjoy ourselves. We ordered the filet and the tuna; both plates were a 10/10! The filet was cooked to perfection and cut like butter, but the brussel sprouts stole the show. The tuna was fresh, seasoned well, and the cucumber salad had a hint of sweet and spicy, pairing perfectly with the meal. We topped everything off by sharing a gluten free dessert, Mocha Crème Brûlée, and O M G I thought I didn’t care for creme brulee very much, but I couldn’t put my spoon down! I’m already thinking about what I’m going to order at...
