Coolidge Public Library — Attraction in Coolidge

As a mom and avid reader, Coolidge Library has met and EXCEEDED expectations. I cannot praise this library enough. My family and I have felt at home every visit. Whether we are partaking in Story Time, finding our weekly cache of books, or playing in the outstanding kids' area, staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The smiling faces and extraordinary facilities has us coming for a visit multiple times a week. The book choices are impressive, stocked with progressive and controversial topics along side that deemed typical for a library. Come in and find books, activities, and clubs for everyone to enjoy and a wide array of books for any type of reader. This library may not look like much from the outside but if you are in town it is worth a visit. Inside it is packed with great books and has everything the larger branches have just on a smaller scale. I was fortunate to be able to attend one of the crochet group sessions and the leader Tonya was amazing! Very friendly and welcoming and in just one visit I learned several new techniques from her! if you are just learning, they have a bin of yarn and hooks and are open to teach you! A regular, Esther, was there too and I enjoyed my time with them so much! I also was able to attend a friend of the library pop up event and came away with two (heavy) bags full of like-new books for $9! They have so many books to choose from. The children section is great for my little brothers to play and read while I can set up and do my homework. They will supply you with any extra materials you need, they are always on top of there game and I haven’t had one bad experience yet. The extra clubs you can join are pretty fun as well. Coolidge library isn’t that from home and is easy to walk to. I wish they had a bigger teen section with romance novels as well as mystery novels. They don’t go to crazy about you sitting On the floor with a book In your hand. Always a treat...
