Brought my daughter here for lunch a few Mondays back because she wanted to try some of the food they had posted online. We ordered the lime shrimp and some appetizers and it was delicious especially considering it's a bar and they don't have a full kitchen. I'm not much of drinker either so I rarely visit bars but the food is good and there atmosphere alone is enough to bring us back. The set up of this place is awesome inside and out front and back and has a lot of potential for fun with all the different games, activities and sections throughout the place. Also as far as bars go I'd consider this place kid friendly. I had a nice conversation with the owner who is really interested in providing her customers with a good experience and this place has a lot of potential so for the sake of a small business owner and the people of Coolidge I really hope this...
Read moreI don't usually leave such low reviews, but we stopped here because of the good reviews. Across the board, I found them to be inaccurate.
We were charged $43 for fish and chips that clearly came from a freezer with what was called "tartar sauce" and 3 fish tacos that weren't terrible, but it all took 45min at 3pm on a very slow Sat. With the food and $43 bill, we had 1 can of hard cider and 1 12oz Lagunitas Hop Water (no alcohol). We made comments about how long things were taking to no apology and when I gave feedback to staff about the mediocre food, I was told "this is a bar". I do wish them the best in a small town, but feel like more balance in reviews here was needed so future customers can go in with proper expectations. Good luck dialing everything in, El Grotto... Maybe we'll try again after some...
