TLDR: They have EXCEPTIONAL customer service and EXCELLENT food. They pay attention to special requests.. I just can't say enough positive about them. If it were up to me, they'd have a solid 4.9/5 rating.. And from everything I've read, going to the actual restaurant is a full 5 star experience (I've only ever ordered through doordash).
Long-winded Food-Specific Review: -The mushroom/swiss burger (for my fiance who doesn't care much for Greek food)- I ordered food 3-4 hrs before he was off work, so the burger sat that long before he ate it... (which is why it doesn't necessarily look too pretty in the photo) and he still said it was EXCELLENT. -Their tzatziki is very dill forward, but in a good way. -Their garlic hummus is out of this world yummy! -I didn't care much for the jalapeño hummus (wasn't bad, just a matter of my own personal taste preference). -I have ordered single pitas on the side, and also the option to get the large side of 8 of them. Getting the single pitas meant getting them heated and rolled up in foil, vs the 8 pack- which was a literal package of pitas- like how you'd buy them from the grocery store. (I just microwaved a couple at a time wrapped in a damp paper towel and then rolled them each up individually in foil.. no biggie. I've purchase every variety Safeway sells, and these put every single one of those to shame). -The sweet potato fries.. I ordered twice. The regular portion, and the large portion. The smaller portion was still more than double the amount you'd expect to get as a decent side portion at a restaurant. The larger portion was a PACKED large Styrofoam container full.. I'd say 3-4x more than the 'regular' size. Both times they looked burned... but still tasted good. (The photo only shows about half of what came in the container, btw). -The honey Nutella pitas I've ordered twice. Both times I got the Nutella on the side. Once without cinnamon. I liked it with, but I REALLY enjoyed it more without the cinnamon. The portion is extremely generous, enough to share (and they don't skimp on the honey/nutella either). To my surprise, they arrived hot and crispy. -twice I ordered a little side of feta... the third time I ordered the 5 oz side. It has a strong flavor and excellent texture. Better than what I usually buy at the grocery store.
*Overall- My Experience: I've ordered 3x. The first time, I had ordered hummus that I thought was gonna be a huge portion, but wasn't (not their fault, they didn't advertise it as being a big portion or anything, they called it a 'sampler', so I shoulda known). The second time I ordered, I got hummus again, the listing said it was 6oz, the description said 8oz. I made a note to them about this, explaining my mistake/assumption the previous time (and my over-emotional reaction to it.. Let's just say I was feeling very hormonal... so much so that I burst into tears over it lol), and expressed my hope to receive the larger portion. They not only wrote me a lil note about it, but they included an entire extra portion to make up for my previous disappointment, even though it wasn't at all their fault.
I just ordered a 3rd time. They once again included a sweet lil message (as well as a lil something extra). They either remembered my previous order/note, or they are just THAT nice and did it anyway.. either way, it's an incredibly sweet gesture.
It's so rare to find a place willing to go the extra mile these days- especially through delivery services, where they don't even see the customer face to face.
If you're still reading at this point, I commend you for hanging in there, but... what are you waiting for? Go support your awesome local business!
(And if you are from the restaurant reading this, I want you to know that it may seem like a small thing to throw in a lil extra somethin'/write a short note... but you really made my day- twice now! You don't even know how much your small gesture(s) meant to me. You got my over-emotional, hormonal self in tears- AGAIN! Thank you so much for making my day when I really needed it!...
Read moreWe used to be loyal customers and visited regularly because we truly enjoyed the food and service. Unfortunately, the quality and customer care have gone noticeably downhill lately.
On several occasions, we’ve had repeated issues with our orders — plain hamburgers requested with only onions would still come with American cheese, despite clear instructions otherwise. One of our family members has a strong sensitivity to that cheese, so it’s not just a preference — it matters. They've also forgotten salad dressing with their Gyro salad, and the wrong meat at times. We never complained, we just started checking the bag before leaving when ordering take out, but today the bag was tied so tightly by Maria that we couldn’t reasonably open it to confirm the order.
Sure enough, when we got home, the burger had American cheese again — despite it being correctly marked no cheese on the order. When we called, Maria acknowledged the mistake but could not tell us whether a replacement would be ready any sooner than their typical 20-minute wait. With a scheduled appointment coming up, this delay made it impossible to return for a fix.
When we explained that replacing just one burger meant our family couldn’t eat together — one person would have no food, one would be driving back, and one would be left to eat alone — Maria didn’t seem to understand.
When we called back to ask for a simple refund for the one incorrect burger, Maria refused to process it over the phone and demanded we return to the location. So now, instead of eating, we had to waste even more time. We ended up returning to get a refund for all the burgers since the others were now cold and uneaten. My wife had to wait 20 minutes at the restaurant for Britney, who was supposedly needed to run our card — but in the end, Britney did not need to run the card at all. This could have been handled over the phone easily.
We wasted over an hour and didn’t even get to eat dinner. This is unacceptable treatment, especially for a small town business that depends on loyal customers. To make matters worse, when we called back to get the manager or owner’s contact info, Maria claimed Britney was the manager. When we asked for the owner’s contact information, she hung up the phone.
The rudeness and total lack of customer service shocked us. We never expected this kind of treatment from a place we had supported so regularly. We sincerely hope management or ownership sees this and reflects on how to better handle loyal customers with...
Read moreDelivery through Door Dash tonight: This time their 1 Pound of Wings were cooked in old grease for sure, smelled funny and also looked burnt. Ordering Extra Crispy doesn't mean burnt. Thumbs 👇
Description of gyro dinner Gyro Dinner (small) doesn't state it had tomatoes on it and now hubby can't eat them because he's allergic to tomatoes. Slightly our fault because we should have stated that but also the company didn't list everything. They listed everything else except the tomatoes in the description so it's just as much our fault as it is theirs. It's not to say that it might have been good but I guess we'll never know since this was our last time ordering.
We have had an issue every time we come here but this was the last straw. They will not get anymore of our hard earned money. $57 down the drain for 2 meals. Thank You Pita Patio!!! We just love to throw money down the drain. It's so FUN!!
The French Fries were probably cooked in the same grease so we didn't even attempt to try them.
So here we are at 7:30-8:00 pm at night, we are trying to figure out dinner all over again. It didn't make any sense to call and complain because they probably would have argued with me because from previous experiences we have had in the past, they have bad attitudes and have been extremely rude.
The time before this they forget our Onion rings. We did a pick up this time. Hubby went back in and let the representative know along with the food and receipt. The lady checked everything in the bag by taking it out one by one and checking each box as if my husband was lying over some $5.00 Onion rings, when again we spent over $50 for 2 meals (we are always trying to support local businesses especially since we don't have many here in Coolidge), places the food on the counter, went to kitchen got the onion rings and handed them to my hubby and he had to put all the food back in the bag. Great Customer Service.....right???
No pictures because before I could say I was writing a review and contacting Door Dash to try to get some of our money back, my husband was throwing the food...
