Currituck County Southern Public Beach Access — Attraction in Corolla

Thank you for the people working at this beach access station, they were God sent. It's not easy getting around the beach to start with. Got conflicting information about how to use the wheelchair accessibility area. Was told we could drive up but was corrected when we did. My brother needed full assistance with a full handicap beach wheelchair from the loading area to beach area which is a long walk and pushing him through the sand was hard. Close to where we are staying in Corolla. Arriving early gives a strong likelihood of getting a parking space. There are employees who will help you carry your beach equipment and help you set up a spot on the beach. These guys are friendly, helpful, and hard-working.
