Bluewater Seafood Market — Local services in Corolla

Terrible customer service. I called in an order for 13 people hoping to do a fun seafood night. We ordered a variety of food, including crabs, shrimp, fried and raw oysters etc. I was very specific about how many people we had in our party and spoke to the employee about recommended amounts per person. I wrote down everything we ordered and how much of it we ordered as I was speaking to the guy on the phone.

At 5pm, we picked up the order and took it home. No fried or raw oysters, fries were cold. I sent my husband back with all of the food to see what happened. The manager told him that we never ordered fried oysters and that they forgot to give us the raw oysters, and “it happens all the time” (um, what?) When he asked for a partial refund, he was accused of “just trying to get free stuff”. We called back in on the phone and asked to speak to management, who told us that she would not give any refund for our now cold food because “it must have been a miscommunication on our end about how many people were in the house” (It absolutely was not).

Besides the terrible customer service, the food was subpar and not worth the $360 we spent. We essentially paid almost 400 dollars for cold fries with a side of okay crab. If you’re smart, you’ll take your...

Just went there a few hours ago. Ordered crab legs (they were frozen and pre-cooked), a tuna steak, two pounds of shrimp (de-veined and de-shelled), a block of butter, some crab dip, and some seasoning.

The staff was nice and even let my son play with a lobster. However, the food was not very good at all. The crab dip had imitation crab in it, very apparent, and all of the shrimp as well as the butter had the taste of freezer burn about it. We ended up literally dumping the shrimp in the trash after only about 3 pieces being eaten. The tuna steak was okay but not great.

I don't know if it is because we came later in the season but I suspect your better bet is to head to one of the other markets. The high number of freezers in this "market" should have been my sign. Absolutely would NOT recommend. Our experience with this establishment was unbelievably disappointing. We had a very large group of people so placed our dinner order early in the day for later pickup. The food was retrieved but because of Covid limitations we were unable to open up what was handed to us to ensure accuracy. Once home we we found that we’d only gotten half our order. We returned to retrieve the second half and the manager of the restaurant accused us of trying to get “free items” and refused to complete our order. A phone call was made in order to try to get a partial refund for our $360 spent and the manager then said “sounds like a miscommunication with all the people you have in your house”.
