Driftwood Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Corolla

We come almost every morning when vacationing in Corolla. They are very efficient and competent and pleasant. Drinks are great. I have not had the food but a family member had a meat croissant and really liked it.

When finding a coffee shop it is really important to us that they increase the number of espresso shots with increased drink sizes - this seems obvious but so many places give you the same amount of espresso in a small as they do in a large, with just a lot more milk in a large. Most importantly this changes the flavor ratio of a drink based on what size you order, but it also doesn’t seem like a good cost value. Driftwood’s cold lattes have 2 shots in a small, 3 in a medium, and 4 in a large. This seems to be the only local shop doing it this way and so we are there...

My family and I haven’t been to OBX in about 10 years. We stayed in Corolla for a week, and found Driftwood Coffee Co within the first day of arriving. Safe to say that all 10-12 of us went 3-4 times EACH during our week stay 😂 Coffee is delicious. Very friendly service. Owner is extremely kind, and very talented! She displays her paintings around the shop as well as her jewelry. Come to find out, the shop has only been open since April. Obsessed with this coffee shop! We were staying across the street all week for vacation. My husband and I were so happy there was a coffee shop close, but our picky 8 yr old and 10 yr old loved it too! They begged us to go back 4 days in a row for their bacon, egg, & cheese croissants.
