So I work near this place and use the restroom in there often because my stores toilets barely work and while I was at work and one of the employees came to me with a picture of me in the lobby and accused me of filling one of the toilets with an entire roll of toilet paper including the cardboard part and left the stall door locked without any evidence and said that if they were to see me in there again they would call the police. She had no evidence that I did this and didn't even try to reason with me, and the way she acted towards me was completely unnecessary, it could have been anyone else in the building that day but she decided to immediately put all the blame on me without any evidence. Also the image that she had of me was definitely was taken from an iphone and not one of the security cameras, so why where they taking pictures of me? Its honestly kinda creepy. Even if I weren't banned I would never go...

If you plan to see the horses make sure you stop at the visitors center for the information they are very kind. There are outfitters willing to haul you up the beach anywhere from a mile to six miles to sight see for a overpriced cab ride in a theater seating Hum-Vee. You can make the trip yourself if you make a little preparation and air down your tires. You can legally drive on the beach if you have a little off roading experience and aren't scared. How ever keep in mind if you get stuck the last business you see before hitting the beach is a towing and recovery service. He is there for a reason. So be wise with your driving skills. There needs to be more tire air up stations when coming off the beach. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A TIRE GAUGE. Lastly make sure you ready to sit in 2 hour traffic coming out of Corolla. Dont drive in there with out a...

Oh Florida, sunny Florida, you can't even hold a candle next to the Outer Banks. We did not miss the highrise condos, busy multi-laned highways, expansive parking lots, amusement parks, huge tourist trap stores, and franchise restaurants. (Or Salt Life stickers)

In Carolla we walked the beach daily, safely rode bikes almost everywhere, rode horses, saw wild horses, climbed lighthouses, kayak, purchased items from small shops filled with items made locally, ate in locally owned restaurants, and met so many wonderful nice people. We loved that so much of nature was there to enjoy. Best and most fun active vacation we have taken. We...

Corolla was the only beach we spent much time swimming and being beach bums. We saw tons of wild horses on the beach and just walking up in the yards of the houses as we toured the island on our own. Our dogs had a blast swimming in the ocean and weather was beautiful. We had a low flyby of an Army Blackhawk a long the coast and that was pretty cool. The beach was very clean and we drove all the way up to the Virginia line with no issues. The sand was packed pretty good and Vehicle traction was acceptable with minimal slippage. Very pretty sand and views and the water was almost crystal clear.

10/10 would recommend! My family just went for the day to the 4 wheel drive beach/Corolla and had an amazing time. No need to pay for a horse tour because the literally walked straight behind our truck! The beach/Community was beautiful. My husband had a 4WD and our friend had a winch so we had no problems with getting stuck. We also didn't buy any type of pass to drive on the beach so I'm not sure if we didn't need one or just got lucky. We will definitely be making plans to stay for a weeks vacation soon!
