Updating my review from 2 stars to 4. I appreciate the owner response and find it satisfying to my situation. Most of my experience has been positive besides this particular day and hopefully going forward this type of thing won't happen and now I'm also aware of this policy.
Original review: I had always had a great experience at this Chuze location so honestly I don't like having to leave a review like this but I feel uncomfortable with this mornings events. I always do the Team Training class on Saturday mornings. I had checked in, went and set my phone down in the team training room and then realized I forgot my heart rate monitor in the car. I ran back out to my car to grab it and when I came back in, I was called out from across the counter and told I need to check in again as it's company policy. In the 8 years I've been coming here I've never been told this. If it's company policy that's fine, but either always enforce it or never enforce it because when I've never been told this before when I've run out to my car for two minutes many times, it comes off as one person just being nit-picky. They literally just saw me walk thru the door two minutes earlier and my phone that I needed to check in with was in the team training room. Not sure how my phone was in the class if I hadn't checked in. Also, rather than just letting me know they can check me in by my phone number on the spot which I didn't know until another member who witnessed this told me, she made me go back to the class that was about to start and grab my phone and come back up to the front. Why not kindly say "No worries, just give me your phone number and I can check you in real quick." If this is all policy, that's fine but the way this particular staff member called me out and her tone were something I wasn't used to at Chuze. I said "rude" out loud at this whole display she created which I probably should not have done but the whole thing felt frustrating and somewhat embarrassing and then a customer who hadn't even witnessed the whole thing chimed in to say something negative to me and at that point I just walked away. This was not at all the positive customer service I have been used to at Chuze for several years. I then went and did the class, calmed my nerves and came out with a friend to do the zero gravity bed. It was the same girl at the counter and she was pleasant at this point as was I and I just wanted to move on from the whole awkward experience but as I'm waiting for a bed to be open with my friend the same girl and two other young men were behind the counter. It wasn't busy in that moment and they were all three standing in a circle, sort of whispering and looking over at me while I waited and one of the boys had a sort of disgusted look on his face as he looked at me. I could never say for sure but my guess would be they were discussing me and what had transpired earlier. I'm not saying anything is wrong with people doing their jobs or enforcing their policies but I just feel this could have been handled in a completely different manner that didn't put a dark cloud on the start of my day and honestly embarrass me at the gym. I go to the gym to feel good, not to become some sort of spectacle for not doing a "double check in". All of the instructors at this location are amazing and the front desk staff is usually warm and welcoming although it seems to be slipping a little lately. Today just really left a bad taste in my mouth. I probably wouldn't have left this review had it seemed to be let go after I came out of the class, but being stared at and whispered about kind of pushed it for me if that is in fact what they were doing which seemed to be the case. Hopefully in the future their can be better ways of handling...

Dear Patrons,
It is with a sense of responsibility that I bring to your attention certain concerns regarding security at Chuze Fitness, located at 705 N. Main St #110, Corona, CA 92880.
Regrettably, instances of theft within the premises have been on the rise, raising serious apprehensions about the safety of personal belongings. Recently, an incident occurred in the men's locker room where locks were cut, resulting in the theft of my wallet and several other patrons wallets containing a substantial amount of cash, credit cards, and gift cards. Despite filing a police report, there has been limited progress in the investigation.
Unfortunately, subsequent occurrences of theft and break-ins have been reported by other members. This pattern of criminal activity has become a matter of concern, especially considering the financial and emotional toll it imposes on the victims. The lack of significant action or visible measures to address this issue has been disheartening.
In an effort to mitigate the risk and enhance security, it is suggested that Chuze Fitness management consider implementing measures such as prominently displaying warning signs within both the men's and women's restrooms, advising members not to store valuables in lockers due to the prevalent theft issues.
While we understand that incidents can happen, the absence of proactive steps to inform and protect members fosters an environment where thieves can operate with relative ease. A more robust and preemptive approach to security measures, including timely alerts to members, can contribute significantly to preventing such unfortunate events.
As patrons who invest both time and money in our fitness goals, we believe it is crucial for Chuze Fitness to adopt a more vigilant stance in addressing and rectifying these security concerns. Taking decisive action now will not only protect the well-being of current members but also safeguard the reputation and credibility of Chuze Fitness as a trusted fitness...
