Dear California Department of Motor Vehicles,
I am writing to express my deep frustration with the registration process for my out-of-state vehicle. Despite making five attempts to register the vehicle, my efforts have been met with numerous requests for additional forms and documentation at each turn.
I want to emphasize that I have diligently complied with every request and provided all the necessary information as requested. However, it has been frustrating to encounter repeated obstacles and requirements for additional forms, causing delays and confusion in the registration process.
I understand the importance of ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations and requirements for registering an out-of-state vehicle in California. However, the repeated requests for additional forms have made the process unnecessarily complex and challenging.
I respectfully request that the California DMV review my case and provide guidance on how to proceed with registering my out-of-state vehicle in a more efficient and streamlined manner. I would greatly appreciate any assistance or clarification that can be provided to help expedite the registration process and resolve any outstanding issues.
Furthermore, I am concerned about the level of service provided by your staff. I cannot help but wonder if your staff is inadequately trained or if there is a deliberate targeting of older individuals for unnecessary bureaucracy and delays. It is disheartening to feel as though the older generation is being taken advantage of in the registration process.

We’re were told to get out of the protection and shade of the building because we will block fire entrances emergency. To go stand out in a line in the parking lot under the baking sun. You can see the old people are having a hard time standing and I guess when there’s 100° heat wave they force people to stand out in the sun, when it’s raining you can’t stand in front of the emergency exits so they must throw people out in the rain to stand in the parking lot.
Call many days trying to make my online appointment kept being put on hold mobile business as driving around when Cell Phone would drop out start over again. After several days of being transferred or given another number to call finally found out no appointments were available. Tried to pay my fees and take care of it online not available.
I try to make an appointment for my real ID for several weeks in a row would not give me permission. Would not let me make an appointment to get my real ID.
For all the simple things have to get handled online without in person wasting man hours of employment of millions of people a year. This is one of the single most incompetent inapt organizations that need to be shut down and privatized. The incompetence in the procedures and man hours wasted are beyond belief next to the IRS and immigration agency.

Read moreI had the worst experience yesterday at this DMV. I had a behind the wheel driving test which took only 2 minutes driving and an examiner who called herself 13 failed me with UNAcCEpTaBle reason. Here is what happened. On the examining sheet, She chose route 2.
She asked me to Turn left when we left DMV , then asked me again turn left into parking lot next to DMV. Then she said turn right while exiting parking lot. Before I exit parking lot there was a stop sign , I stopped there and could not see completely the main road, so I was driving carefully slowed down , checked the road and made sure there was no car coming , then I turned right. It was completely safe driving. Then she failed me saying that I stopped at keep clear, there was keep clear sign on the main road , I DID NOT STOP THERE AT ALL. I just checked the traffic and turned right.
I have no idea how I was supposed to drive based on her comment. That’s the only reason she failed me. Only 2 minutes driving, her poor judgement, This kind of examiner mistake should Be considered seriously. Especially at current situation, I can not have a driving test within 6 months due to COVID-19 closure.
