This is clearly the place to be for some light exercise on the weekend. There are lots of folks walking around and enjoying the alpine air. Several playgrounds and open fields, as well as a baseball diamond. Plenty of places to sit and take a break (shady pavilions, picnic tables under trees, and sunnier places to sit, too). It's near Mary's River, apparently-- read for yourself at a local historical marker describing how this park sits on what used to be an alternative route to the Oregon Trail.

If you play PokémonGO, you will not be disappointed: pokéstops galore, as well as several gyms and unusual Pókemon nests (while we were there in August 2017, Voltorbs...

Its a great space, just basic land use. There are bathrooms, but there were other parties that reserved near the bathrooms and would not let us use them without a great debate. There was no electricity where we were, but we gad use of a water fountain. The grass was green and well manicured. The table was long and sufficient. It was easy to get to and had a paved path for those of our party that are disabled. Overall a nice place and I would recommend it to those looking for a medium to large basic outdoor space for gatherings. I cannot speak to the price as I was not the one to rent is and am unaware...

We love Avery-- lots of options for everyone. People across the lifespan enjoy the small rose garden, I've had community gatherings held here, as well as recreating with my own little ones on the many playgrounds. Avery's updated, all-accessible playground helps broaden that, too-- this larger of their playgrounds was a lot of fun. My kids always love the train and "dinosaur bones"-- although the train has seen some vandalism and the bones could use an updated paint job, as the paint had begun to peel. There are usually houseless folks hanging around and some associated issues. Overall, a...

only issue. park staff and parking Dept need to chill out and stop locking and giving tickets; the parking dept is totally out of wack..make up rules frame pictures the way so people seem guilty, ruin people credit and are the worst attitude the city for employees except for one of them who is nice and understands warning is more powerful than a ticket..im going to to start a local defund the parking enforcement department and that they fire the workers who get their kicks ruining people's life's..you know who you are salty one

Avery Park is a very pleasant place to visit, with wide open areas,, and plenty of opportunities to unwind, relax, or recreate. The Corvallis Bus stop is roughly 2 blocks away, and FREE, year round, for anyone to ride. I visited Avery Park to witness and experience the August 21, 2017 Total Solar Eclipse. Although the pictures I have posted do NOT clearly depict totality (as I am not a professional photographer), the near 2 minutes of totality was absolutely awe-inspiring!!
