This is clearly the place to be for some light exercise on the weekend. There are lots of folks walking around and enjoying the alpine air. Several playgrounds and open fields, as well as a baseball diamond. Plenty of places to sit and take a break (shady pavilions, picnic tables under trees, and sunnier places to sit, too). It's near Mary's River, apparently-- read for yourself at a local historical marker describing how this park sits on what used to be an alternative route to the Oregon Trail.

Read moreIts a great space, just basic land use. There are bathrooms, but there were other parties that reserved near the bathrooms and would not let us use them without a great debate. There was no electricity where we were, but we gad use of a water fountain. The grass was green and well manicured. The table was long and sufficient. It was easy to get to and had a paved path for those of our party that are disabled. Overall a nice place and I would recommend it to those looking for a medium to large basic outdoor space for gatherings. I cannot speak to the price as I was not the one to rent is and am unaware...

People across the lifespan enjoy the small rose garden, I've had community gatherings held here, as well as recreating with my own little ones on the many playgrounds. Avery's updated, all-accessible playground helps broaden that, too-- this larger of their playgrounds was a lot of fun. My kids always love the train and "dinosaur bones"-- although the train has seen some vandalism and the bones could use an updated paint job, as the paint had begun to peel.
