Serene Nails & Spa — Attraction in Costa Mesa

Okay I ended up going to this place because my roommate and I saw it passing by. Looked it up great reviews, so why not. When we arrived there were 2 customers leaving and a lady getting her nails done so they weren't busy as pretty much no one was there. Cool we thought we'd be out in around a hr. No my pink nails took over an hr and a half and my roommates over 2 because of the lack of experience the YOUNG GIRL had. Not only that, she had to reglue the nails after cutting them to size because she was filing them to roughly she threw them off. It was obvious she didn't know what she was doing but no one else took over even after 2 different ladies came over to check her work and spoke to her. Meanwhile I'm next to her and the lady doing my nails keeps filing my nails down and around my cuticles and cutting me repeatedly. My left index finger in particular had a small deep cut that wouldn't stop bleeding. My nails are supposed to be almond shaped and for the most part they are EXCEPT the ones that are filed literally at an angle. Pink nails are painted they bump them there's a visible line across my thumb the 'blend' it out with top coat.( I can see the line even now)While I'm drying my nails my friend is finally getting her nails shaped and surprise, surprise the girl still doesn't know what she's doing. She finally leavez them oval shaped even though she repeatedly asked for almond. She painted her gel nails file them again and and painted them... again. Them finally cured them. The purple nails are my roommates and you can see all the gunk left underneath even after working on them for over 2hrs! Agreeing we'd just rather fix them on our own we paid and left. This place is probably the best one iv been to in Elk Grove!! They are under new management, woman owned and operated, small business and they are doing AMAZING! Complimentary mimosa with my pedicure, they took their time they asked if I liked everything through the whole process, they used organic products for the pedicure process and the staff and owner is just so sweet.
