I’m leaving an honest review! I’m not paid to leave a positive opinion, this is 100% genuine. I am incredibly picky and very particular about my hair, so I normally avoid going to chain/corporate hair salons since I’ve NEVER had good experiences in the past. This time around was different. I was blessed with a very well trained and talented hairstylist. Annaliese does amazing work! My boyfriend had gone to her first as a walk in and she did an excellent cut for him and I told myself I’ll give it her a shot. My hair had been grown out, heat damaged, and had lots of breakage just from past colors and straightening so I knew going in I wanted a bit more taken off than I knew I’d be comfortable with so I was extremely nervous. I also have bad vision and wear glasses so being that I don’t wear them when I get my hair cut, I feel extremely vulnerable when I can’t see what the stylists are doing. I made sure to pick a style that I liked a lot and would work for me. I had a few pictures and showed her and she knew exactly what I wanted, she listened to every word I said, and she had me check throughout the process if there was any areas that I wanted changed or taken off. It was such a comfortable experience and we had a great conversation. She made the entire sitting feel very natural. I didn’t even have my hair colored and other customers were complimenting the color. The way I had it done cleaned it up incredibly well. I honestly felt special and lucky because of the price. This was easily a $100-$150+ boutique salon styled cut and blow dry. I only paid $50 (plus a generous tip wish I could have given her more since that girl works so hard!). I highly recommend going to her if you’re local or if you really don’t want to break the bank getting your hair done. It’s a fun and busy salon and the rest of the staff are very kind and fun. It’s a busy salon in a great center with Sidecar Donuts, Starbucks, super cute Boutiques and other great shops to have a great shopping experience. Book with Annaliese first thing in the morning because she books up fast and for a reason! 5 Star...
Read moremaybe be nice to your clients? A couple of days after knee surgery, I came in still on crutches, weak from the procedure and on pain medication. Vicki was my stylist and i’m still shook by how horribly she treated me. My hair had grown to the middle of my back and i’m blessed with thick luxurious locks.. instead of treating those locks with kid gloves and a deft hand, Vicki, after washing my hair, was violently yanking her comb thru my hair and creating clumps that she would in disgust throw on the floor. Vicki continued to assault and manhandle my hair until she was finished. all the while she kept say my hair was too thick and too long. it’s not like i came in with dreads that she had to work through. just a standard ponytail. Again i was too weak and out of it to protest. i was in a bit of a sleep-deprived, post-surgical, hydrocodone fog. i could see that other stylists and patrons kept looking over at her ritual abuse, yet no one bothered to say anything. Vicki then insisted she needed to thin my hair and haphazardly began to hack away. Vicki berated me for having cut my own bangs between salon visits. (really? schedule has been a wee bit full, jerk!) And the peace de resistance of this trauma inducing visit was when she smacked me, wagged her finger in my face, and warned me never to cut my own bangs again! wow. i sleepily paid and tipped her for the abuse. haven’t been back. takeaways?: 1) have someone stay with you during your visit just in case someone decides to assault you with a comb and pent-up rage. 2) maybe another stylist or even the manager could have spoken up to protect a client. why...
Read moreHad made a specific appointment on the app with a specific hair stylist. Came in 5 min ealry to just wait patiently. the lady at the front checked me in and completely told me a different hair stylist will be cutting my hair. without telling me that there would be a change in my preference. Won’t be saying names but this lady took me in I asked to be cut a certain way but seemed to be in a rush to just cut my hair and not listen or take consideration on how I want my hair done. My hair normally takes 35 to 40min to cut the right way but I was in and out in 20 min witch gave me red flags because she was just trying to go fast. Doing so she left my hair not how I wanted it and disappointed. Now I have to walk around with a half done haircut. I really wanted a refund but there’s no point of arguing with these people. If someone has a specific appointment with someone and they don’t get that person communicate with that person instead of surprising them at the end. Will never...
