Stopped by the cafe today to pick up a customer's order. The waiter serving the table shouted loudly at me, "Do you need to pick up the order"? And laughed along with the people at the tables. Just so he knows, I am a migrant from Russia, and I now have a part-time job in the form of delivery! I have a higher education, in Russia I worked as an accountant, and here I have two jobs, but he was laughing and reveling in the fact that I work as a delivery girl. I have an education, and he?) he is a grandfather and works as a waiter! It's such a collective farm to humiliate young girls like that! Shame on you and your restaurant! I will not come to pick up my order for any more money! And your pancakes suck, I tried them! Such pancakes in our country would go in the trash! Just so you know! I can give you a master class in pancakes! You're welcome! 10.11....
Read moreThere were a lot of newspaper articles about a man who works here that were really interesting. It's worth reading if you are curious. In short, a man who works there is formerly CIA (but there's more to it). I recognized him after seeing the articles as he was working very busily. He made sure we were seated quickly and offered us an outdoor option during our wait. The place was packed. I ordered Potato Pancakes and they were great! They were served with Apple Sauce & Sour Cream. For my main dish I ordered the Chilequiles and they came with pancakes. I wasn't able to finish my meal, but I thought it was decent. The pancakes were mediocre, but a good size and proper coloring. My partner opted for Pot Roast. It seemed to be a pretty generous amount of food. I would like to mention they have a a decent sized menu complete with a few...
Read moreI drive by this place every day, and on thanksgiving day(they were open), my wife and I tried it. We were seated after a brief wait, which to me is a good thing. Reading over the menu all I wanted was pancakes. Our waiter was pushy, but polite. After placing our order., we waited about 20 mins for pancakes. I never read one review from this place, so I was open minded. Figured the name itself was made famous for their pancakes. Dennys makes better pancakes. Not impressed at all, a sad let down. Small sized and no flavor.. and didn't melt the butter as they came out warm, not hot off the grill. Not to forget, a pinch over priced., I looked around at tables where customers just left, and a lot of food wasted. If you want better pancakes, on 17th st.. The Plum cafe or Haute Cakes.. and...
