Hey everyone, my name is Nazarii Kazachok, and I’ve been living in this apartment complex for a year and a half. Based on my experience living in various luxury complexes, including in Florida and Washington, D.C., I can confidently say that this place is on a good level. The price-to-quality ratio here is excellent. For what you pay, you get a great complex with top-notch amenities— a nice pool, barbecue area, a well-equipped gym, plus entertainment options like ping pong, bowling, and much more. The apartments are spacious and comfortable, and the location is great. Big shoutout to the management team, especially Isaac and his crew—they're always friendly, helpful, and open to communication. To those who complain about this complex, I’d say one of two things: either they have no real comparison, or they’re just spoiled. The value for money here is truly outstanding! Highly recommend this place, and I wish everyone to appreciate and enjoy what they have!

Absolutely do not move in here. Not only do they take your entire security deposit, they make you pay even more on top of it. Nothing was broken, no damage to the unit. Over $700 in just cleaning fees. Who charges separate to clean each individual appliance? Since when is cleaning a carpet separate from the typical cleaning fee? Also, they charged $120 for a carpet cleaning fee PLUS $50 for a ā€œdeepā€ carpet cleaning fee. When I called, Jonathan explained that they had to repaint the entire unit instead of touch up paint for a couple small scuffs because the paint won’t match. When I asked why they didn’t have matching paint, he told me the ā€œsun changes the color of the paint on the walls throughout a yearā€. I’ve lived in a lot of apartments, this is the only time I haven’t gotten some of my security deposit back. I understand a normal cleaning fee, this is insanity.

A truthful and honest review from a tenant that has lived there since it opened.

Most of the positive reviews here are about a far different apartment complex. Most of the staff that is praised have quit, transferred or been fired. All the positives features peolpe reviewed are unfortunately no longer true...

I was one of the first tenants that moved into this complex – the roof wasn’t even open for 3 months after I moved in there in 2015. This complex has had many moments of brilliance, but has since dove down into the subpar complexes of upscale Orange County. I believe your rent dollars are better spent in other complexes. My reasoning is below:

  1. In the first year, the entire roof (which is not that large) was open to the residents. After approx 10-12 months of opening, after countless promises this would not happen, they closed off approximately 40% of the roof to trainers that are only to be used by athletes that live there on a part time basis. This caused a major uprising among tenants and ownership offered everyone out of the lease free if they removed their negative complaints online. We decided to stay but this is a prime example how little they care about their tenants
  2. Theft is a major problem at the Marke. We personally had a car window broken into, our storage cage broken into, and a box taken out of the shared Luxor room during our tenure. Everything was locked appropriately and in discussion with neighbors, this is an all too common experience
  3. They cater more to the proactive athletes than their tenants. There are several units that are only used for athletes. If you happen to have a unit that is close to it (above, below, side, or across), you can hear them partying and having sex all through the night. Not an ideal scenario on a weekday if you have to be at work the next morning.
  4. Parking is a disaster. There is very limited parking (they used to charge $6 for your guests to park there) and if all spots are taken, there is literally nowhere remotely close than is suitable parking. Additionally, expect to have to trek down to the parking lot to get your guests, as there is no system to let them in otherwise. If you have a unit far from the parking structure, this can be quite a hassle.

This used to be a great complex with successful young adults and after what I consider to be a number of bad decisions by upper management, has turned for the worse in every area. There are far better...

I can honestly say this is the best place I've ever lived... With so many apartment communities in OC I'm so thankful I found this gem. I have too many great things to say about this place, I will try to summarize my favorites.

First off, the location is prime, easy access to 55/405/73 freeways. The parking situation is good too, they have a free 24/7 valet staff that makes having guest over a breeze, and trust me, people will be coming over!

The amenities at The Marke are out of this world. They have everything, just take a tour of this place... The rooftop boasts a resort style salt water pool and jacuzzi, ping pong, and more LED TVs than you can count. I almost forgot about the gym, boxing room, pool table, shuffleboard and a two lane bowling ally... Did I mention bringing your own alcohol is encouraged?

The car wash station in the basement is such a nice perk, it has soap, water and a legit car wash vacuum. The leasing lounge also provides you with drying towels, car wax/polish, interior cleaner, leather wipes and anything else you might need to get your car looking fresh... by the way, it's all free.

Everyone I've met here at The Marke has been a pleasure to know, having such great neighbors only adds to the environment. Additionally, the staff is great! Trent, the manager, has been nothing but helpful and good energy, he is very genuine and passionate about what he does, and it shows! He is constantly improving the apartment complex, which is nice and exciting to watch happen. Jordan, Nicole and Garrett are great too, any problem or concern I've ever had they've immediately addressed and taken care of.

I would recommend this place to anyone. I have literally zero complaints, this place just keeps...

It’s real rough around here. At some level, what do you expect...it’s an apartment building? But, i also think you can find better. The management is eh. It’s pretty accurate as the other reviews. They definitely are more interested in power trips then customer service. Their lack of compassion during the Covid pandemic has been slim to none. They expect full rent while restricting so many amenities. The parking garage is poorly engineered. It’s really tight and people fly up and down. Guest parking is minimal, if you get lucky and there’s one open you have to register your guests car, they get 24 hrs max and you get limited passes a month. So it’s difficult when you have family from out of town staying with you. Don’t even get me started on the mail room and package system. Package lockers are a nightmare. Lost packages a lot. You need about 3 different keys to get around the building as a tenant. So don’t leave home without ALL of them or you will get locked in somewhere. There’s 2 trash chutes per floor in the garage. Be mindful where your unit is, cause you may have to walk forever. Therefore, you see trash everywhere. People will leave it in the stairwells. Also, about the stairwells? People will also smoke in them. And there’s no ventilation. Enough said. It’s true, bowling is always broken. The TVs in the cabanas never work. Gym is small. Can never get the fire pits to work. Pool is aight. Not always the cleanest. Has restrictions now cause of Covid. No guests. Closes at 4pm. If you live on the Main Street side, street cleaner can be loud and people always race their fancy cars in the middle of the night. Walls are thin. I think most apt walls are? This was long. Thanks for reading if you made...
