I bought my daughter a balloon from them today. I walked away from the register, walked out the door, and immediately the balloon flew away. The string was still in my daughter's hand. They had used a small piece of scotch tape to put the string on the balloon instead of tying it on. The girl at the register said I should be more careful. I told her I was not expecting the string to be taped on the balloon and she should at minimum warn people that they are doing that. Rather than replace the balloon they made me buy another one. I wouldn't have based on the principle except my daughter was crying and I didn't want her to go without it. Read moreI really like Dollar Tree. Although, I hasten to add that I am quite irritated they do hassle me when I bring my dog, a Rhodesian Ridgeback named "Lola," into the store. I am asked by the same employees every time it Lola is "a service dog." I reply "yes," and yet I am still hassled. I AM legally blind. By California law, I am only required to respond with a "yes" or a "no" at being asked if my dog is my "seeing eye animal."
