Subway — Restaurant in Crescent City

While I have previously had no issues with this location, I feel obligated to post this. I was in there Sunday 9/13 around 1PM. There was approximately 4 people in line (and 3 people working behind the counter when I first arrived) and a 5th customer walks in with no mask on. Initially nothing was said by customers or staff, but with a long line, the possible not noticing is understandable. While I was finishing up my sandwich, said patron with no mask began asking about free sandwich coupons that he "saw somewhere online". The employee then did ask him if he had a mask, to which he responded "no". The interaction then carried on as if nothing happened. While the employee did try to encourage the mask wearing, we have a moral and social obligation to go further and require it. I cannot risk my families health due to the discomfort of one person who in this instance wasn't even a paying customer. California still has a mandate issued by the governor for people to wear a mask while in public spaces especially indoors. Please give your staff to empowerment to stand up to customers who wont wear a mask. Require it, or post a sign on the door so people can know that a mask is not required in your establishment, so people can make an...

Extremely unprofessional staff. They seemed like 2 teenaged boys bantering with each other and ignoring customers to talk with their friends who would just walk in and up to the counter. Every request was the most inconvenient thing to them. Every part of my sandwich had been clumsily made, bread falling apart, lettuce brown, slimy, and wilted. My two friends and I arrived a few minutes past 7pm, hungry and excited for some good food, made just how we like. we were immediately greeted with a rude “I’m closed” followed by several more “yup we close at 7” type comments from the same woman. The hours on the google page clearly say they close at 9pm, not 7.
