We recently had the joy of celebrating my grandmother’s 90th birthday at Vintage on 5th, and I truly can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with kindness, warmth, and professionalism. We had a private room reserved for our family of 14, and everything—from the cozy, elegant ambiance to the smallest thoughtful touches—made the night feel incredibly special.
Our server, Kimber, was absolutely phenomenal. She handled our large group with such grace and friendliness, making everyone feel seen and cared for. She anticipated our needs before we even asked and kept everything running smoothly while still making time for genuine conversation and connection. Her service truly elevated the evening.
The food… wow. From the appetizers to the desserts, every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The wine selection was top-notch and paired perfectly with our meals. Even my kids raved about their food, which is not always easy to accomplish! The kitchen clearly puts so much heart into what they create, and it absolutely showed in every bite.
One of the most memorable parts of the evening was when the owner personally came into our private dining space to wish my grandmother a happy 90th birthday. That thoughtful gesture touched all of us and showed just how much they value their guests and community. It wasn’t just dinner—it was a celebration made unforgettable by a team who genuinely cared.
Every single person in our party walked away saying the same thing: five stars, without hesitation. Vintage on 5th gave us a night full of laughter, delicious food, and beautiful memories we’ll cherish for years to come. Thank you to everyone who helped make this milestone so special—we will...
Read moreOur friend made a dinner reservation to celebrate a birthday. We arrived and sat at our table, and our server went over the menu. We ordered our food, and shortly after our order was placed, our server came back to tell us that she was going to rush our order because there was another reservation coming after us. Another words she wanted us to leave in time for the next reservation. Yet we had made this reservation quite some time ago. So this sounded like they were overbooked. Nonetheless, it took forever to get our food. One point I would like to make is, one of the specials was a whole fish served on a platter with vegetables. I asked the server if it was a bony fish. She went into the kitchen to ask a chef and came back and told us that it was not. So it was safe to order it. Three of us in our party ordered the fish and much to our surprise and disappointment, the fish was mostly bone and hardly any meat. We mentioned this to the server and I was surprised no apologies from the chef or the manager nor offering a substitute was made. It was clear that all they wanted to do was serve us and get us out the door. Our host who made the reservation, spoke to the manager and express our disappointment. Our server did not even come back to check on us while we were eating to even ask if everything was OK. It was their loss because we would have loved to order more wine and dessert and coffee, However, we felt rushed and could tell they wanted us to leave. This is the rudest and most unprofessional service I’ve seen in a restaurant of this caliber. Our group goes out to dinner at least once or twice a week. I will never return to this establishment and do not recommend them whatsoever. The food was awful, and...
Read moreMy husband and I made reservations at VO5 because of the reviews. Their website stated “Our servers are wearing masks. We truly appreciate your support”. That was important to us, so we made a reservation. Unfortunately, they did not wear masks. (This morning we learned that they updated their website after we left to reflect that they don’t use masks) We asked the server about it and were told they recently stopped wearing them. Okay. We unsuccessfully tried for a table outside because the tables were fairly close to one another. Nope. Fine. We sucked it up and placed an order for two glasses of wine. While we were looking over the menu the owner came over and said, “ Hi. I’m the owner. Can I do anything to help you”? We explained the mask policy that we expected based on the website. I thought perhaps he would have apologized about the incorrect info on the website. He did not. He became very confrontational w us and asked if WE wore masks into his restaurant to protect his employees. That was kind of surprising to me since he had just made the decision to not have his staff wear masks. But we had worn our masks and so we said yes. We took them off to drink water and he said, “well you don’t have them on now”! And he proceeded to be confrontational. So I asked him,”excuse me, but I don’t understand what your intention was when you came over. You asked us if there was anything you could do to help. And what I’m getting from you is confrontation and anger”. He continued to argue and raise his voice. My husband said, “maybe we should leave”. And the owner said,”I think that’s best”. So we did. He was so unprofessional. It was embarrassing. We left and he missed out...
