super disappointed in the interaction I just had with Brooke the manager via phone. I initially called to order a sandwich and was informed you could only order online with chow now- no problem, i began my order and at check out to my own despair I kept receiving an error. So i called back and spoke with a young lady who informed me she would have to ask her manager if she could take my order...this is where brooke enters stage left, Brooke starts off by saying she doesnt know what 'my issue' is because she just received and online order perfectly fine, she was rude and abrasive and I informed her I only wanted to order a simple sandwich if she could help me due to the error I was reciveing, i let her know I frequent this establishment and would gladly order online if possible but I was afraid I would run out of time as i thought cut off for breakfast was 11- she very snarkily informed me that i had "plenty of time" as they dont stop preparing breakfast until 1130. I was about to say "okay nevermind i dont need the sandwich" when she informed me she would only do it "THIS TIME" and i would otherwise need to figure it out next time. i understand going digital in tidays world and i am all for it, but given this community and the standards I've seen along citrus ave, this is a negative business practice as not everyone is as tech savvy, so additional help may be required. I work along side these business and order DAILY from this establishment but it seems the businesses managment style doesnt align with the culture or atmosphere were use to seeing downtown. I have been coming here weekly since its opening, but unfortunately Brooke has caused me to no longer...
Read moreMy best advice is to avoid this place completely if you have any dietary restrictions at all. We reviewed the online menu before going for breakfast because our son has several food allergies (egg, dairy, beans, soy protein, peas, lentils, and nuts). The online menu lists sourdough toast, which he can have, but they didn't have that. So, we ordered him a side of bacon. Two slices came out on a plate with a piece of egg on the plate. I wanted to complain, but my wife told me to let it go, so I did. Our son was hungry, so we asked for bagel as that was the only other thing our son could eat with his allergies. The shop refused to serve it to us because it was shortly after breakfast. A staff member then actually brought out the bagel bag so my wife could read the ingredients, purportedly for the next time we visit. My wife confirmed that it was safe and asked if she could buy one. The staff member then told her that the toaster was locked down so they couldn't serve the bagel. My wife then asked our son if he minded eating an untoasted bagel. He said he didn't mind because he was really hungry. Then, they still refused to serve him a bagel! Instead, they offered our 7 y/o a spinach salad. My wife reviewed this place this morning, and the owner's reply is full of inaccurate information. Notably, the owner claims to have audio and video recording. I invite the owner to post it. Then he can apologize to my wife and son. Poorly done on the owner's part, and poorly done on the...
Read more3.5 to 4 Stars... I visited this place this morning and I 'll be honest about everything. The place was very warm and inviting including the woman working the register. the variety was great.. prices competitive and clean. This was my first time there. The food was good. The menu needs a few to read. There was an employee that made a rude comment while I was asking questions.. "Why don't you go to F'n restaurant" I ignored it because I refused to believe that was directed to me and my friend was said "why did I take that?" I'm in the business and I know its hard to get good help and people have bad days but that was unacceptable. I would return because everything else was a great experience. I would have given 4.5 stars if not. I'm sure the owners and management didn't want me to experience that but upon my return Ill ask questions and record the reaction by this person. I wouldn't deter anyone from going there but people should know and there should be some accountability. UPDATE 5/15 I spoke with management and they apologized for the problem and offered a gc and even after I said I want looking for it they insisted in sending me some coffee. I appreciate it. Quite...
