Culebra Bluewater sports — Attraction in Culebra

Consumer beware: Safety issues with life jackets (available for rent) plus defective product with refusal to provide refund. If there’s a problem with brand new equipment that you purchase, forget about getting a refund or being treated with integrity and respect. This was my experience.

Also the yellow inflatable life jacket that I rented was unsafe and leaking air and therefore can put life at risk in case of emergency.

Here are the details regarding the refund refusal. I purchased a brand new Cressi full face mask. We used it for about two hours in total and it was filling water with the front round air flap nipple getting dislodged. When we came to return the defective mask with the round flap clearly dislodged, the store manager insisted that she would not allow a return or refund claiming that there’s “nothing wrong” after she placed the defective dislocated gasket seal back in place. We rented snorkeling gear and had the nicest time out on the water! Really affordable rental for the gear. You can also buy masks and flippers exactly what you need for seeing all the underwater creatures! The shop is a must for all fishing gear also. The owner Olga is the kindest person. I recommend going for a souvenir before you leave the island as well!

Went to Culebra divers first but closed early and were not very helpful although their equipment does seem better quality, what Olga offered was enough for the snorkeling we were trying to do in Tamarindo.
