Sales are fundamentally driven by first impressions, and unfortunately, my recent experience at your Forest Ln location fell short in this regard. Upon arrival, I encountered unprofessional behavior from the front desk staff, particularly from Austin, who, despite being the manager, displayed a dismissive attitude. Even after confirming the companionās all-location membership, which includes a guest pass, Austin incorrectly stated that the guest privilege was limited to the location where the membership was purchased...this very location. As a result, I was denied a 5-day guest pass and was instead offered a day pass for $40. Austin's attitude did a whole 180 after I said "then I'll just sign up for the membership."
This initial interaction left a negative impression, which was only partially alleviated by the positive assistance I received from another employee, Tres (if I recall correctly). Tres was courteous, informative, and took the time to explain various membership options, ensuring we found the best deal. His professionalism contrasted sharply with the earlier experience and was the saving grace of the visit. (Take some notes Austin.)
However, the overall condition of the facilityāsuch as a broken machine, a dirty and broken sauna, and general uncleanlinessācombined with being denied entry multiple times, has led me to question the management and upkeep of this location. First impressions are critical in sales, and while one employee stood out positively, the overall experience suggests there is significant room for improvement in both customer service and facility...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWeāve been members at this gym for about a year. As busy parents, we donāt get to come very often, but we specifically chose this location because it was close to our home and had a Kids Club for our little one. Before this, we were members of Texas Family Fitness, and it was an amazing place ā when that closed, we hoped Fitness Connection would be a good replacement. Sadly, it has been a huge disappointment.
The biggest issue is the Kids Club. In the beginning, it was fine, but lately the staff have changed, and itās been terrible. Especially after 4 PM, the two girls working there are unbelievably rude and careless. They spend their time glued to their phones, completely ignoring the kids. Worse than that, they raise their voices at them, make them feel scared to ask for water or to use the restroom, and treat them with zero kindness or patience. As a parent, itās heartbreaking to leave your child somewhere you thought was safe, only to realize the people responsible donāt care at all.
To make matters worse, when we tried to speak with the manager, Michael, his attitude was just as bad. He didnāt care to listen, brushed us off like we didnāt matter, and walked away without addressing a single concern. Not even eye contact, not a single apology.
Today, this place lost two members because of this. And honestly ; if you care about your childās safety, happiness, and well-being, Iād strongly think twice before leaving them here. I sincerely hope anyone considering joining this gym reads this review and makes an informed decision. No parent should have to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEditing from 5 to 3 stars. The reason being: Overall Cleanliness of the inside is slowly deteriorating, and the parking lot is falling apart. Cleanliness: The inside of the gym has steadily become messier. Mostly from napkins of previous equipment users being left all over the place. There are SEVERAL trash cans all over the facility, and Iāve seen a very hard working woman walk around and empty them regularly. So it isnāt like this is caused by a lack of room in the can, but folks leave their used napkins by the machines and walk away. And they get picked up maybe once a day, but Iāve personally seen some napkins remain in the same spot for 2+ days. Likely a simple oversight when cleaning, just a mistake, but it doesnāt change the fact it seems to be happening more frequently. However, thatās also providing people wipe off equipment after they use it. Which most donāt. So certainly come prepared to wipe things down before you use them, thoroughly. Which we should do anyway, but still. Parking Lot - QUICKLY deteriorating. The potholes are in EVERY lane, and widening by the week. Nearly deep enough to knock the creatine out of someone when you drive over them. Itās actually the primary reason I altered my review because their parking lot is getting SO BAD.
The employees are chill and friendly, and overall the gym is nice. But the cleanliness/sanitation of the inside, and the condition of the parking lot leave quite a bit...
