I had high hopes for this salon, but my experience left me feeling confused, disappointed, and frustrated especially after being charged $350 for a color and cut that did not meet my expectations. During the consultation, I made it clear that I was looking for the more affordable option, and the stylist acknowledged that. She in fact came back with 2 different opinions for me the first option which was way over 550 dollars or the budget friendly option which was around 140 so We agreed on the more budget-friendly option but when I went to pay, I was shocked to be charged 350 much more than what we agreed upon. The pricing was not clearly communicated, and I felt blindsided at checkout. The salon lighting made it difficult to see the final result, so I didn’t realize how off the color was until I got home. In natural light, it’s very obvious that the color is uneven, with mismatched tones, including reddish-brown and orange patches not at all what I asked for or expected based on the inspiration photo I provided. Everyone was nice which I appreciated as a first-time client but she admitted that the color didn’t come out quite right. She mentioned she’d give me a courtesy follow-up call in a week, but I sent an email to the salon expressing my concerns and asking for a resolution and still haven’t received any response especially for a service that cost this much. Between the overcharge and the poor color result, This experience was disappointing. I cannot recommend this salon to anyone looking for honest pricing EDIT: I wanted to update my previous review the salon reached out and listened to my feedback. They were committed to making things right. I came back in for a correction, and they took the time to ensure I left happy with the final result. I'm grateful for how they handled the situation. Thank you again to the team for turning things around and helping me find a resolution. After the correction I felt...
Read moreI love seeing Nola for my manicures. She doesn't remove the shellac polish off my nails by drilling it off to the nail. She scuffs the tops off, then applies something that removes the shellac. This takes her longer but my nails are not soft and brittle after words. Good conversation and nice music always make the time go faster. Lately, I have also done a facial with Nola and I was not disappointed. I was a little nervous at first, as I have PCOS with facial hair, and have always been hesitant about someone touching my face. Nola put my worries to rest and 1 enjoyed a relaxing facial. We talked about skincare and she helped me purchase skin care products that I am loving. My skin is so smooth and I feel like by skin glows. One of my latest programs was a therapeutic scalp massage with Alyssa. My favorite part of a hair cut, is the shampooing and conditioning. It always feels so relaxing. My treatment was that on steroids! The massage was so enjoyable, I almost fell asleep. For someone who suffers with Chronic Pain, this will be put in my arsenal of massages to help relieve some of my aches. I found the products to be wonderful here as well. My naturally curl hair was soft and light. Frizzys were gone for a week with one application. While the products are a little expensive than what I'm use to spending. They are all incredible and they are priced the same as online. And what's the old saying I'm worth it. Looking to seeing what the new medspa offers, and will be back...
Read moreUpon my first couple of visits I enjoyed the salon and didn’t have many complaints other than it being a small space. It was quiet and my stylist did a good job. I’m not really into small salons because theres a nagging feeling of loss of privacy until you completely block it out. One day during my appointment as I was going through my consultation prior to my service, not by sole fault of their own but by default the stylist and client next to me were one chair away from me about 3-4’ looking directly at me as I spoke. For some reason the stylist didn’t rotate the customers chair away from me and instead spoke in my direction much too loud for the space we were in with the customer not taking their eyes off me. Ironically during the awkward service the moment was then fueled by more awkwardness. I overheard a stylist from afar providing her negative stereotypical opinion regarding a particular nationality to her customer which some may classify as a racist statement. I have not been back since and do not plan on sharing the evil details as it would be nonsensical for me to repeat ignorance and give it special attention. I suggest the owner explain to the stylists that racist opinions are not acceptable and that their words will travel rather quickly through a small space. I probably would have went back and dealt with the awkwardness since my stylist was good but hearing those comments is unsettling and...
