The Great Escape Quad Cities — Attraction in Davenport

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! We purchased a $12,283.00 hot tub on 3/18/22. We were told it would be in the first week of April, and someone would call us when it's in. We never recieved a call that first week (with covid we know there seems to be more delays in stuff so we waited) we did however call the 2nd week of April, and after finding the right person to talk to, we were told it had been in since the first week. So we go to pick the hot tub up today 4/14/22 And I assume it is the manager comes out to us and tells us we need to have 2 conversations 1 being no one knew we were coming to pick it up so they were not ready. 2 being how were we going to finish paying for it, we responded with a check, we were told that is not going to work we needed a cashier's check or use a credit card. We asked why were we not told when we made the initial purchase or when we called that we would need a cashier's check? Now we did have a credit card to pay for it, but with the lack of communication on Great Escapes part and the tone the manager used with us we would just ask for our initial down payment of $500.00 cash back and go somewhere else. I feel when you are spending that amount of money you do not need to be treated in such a bad way, I dont expect special treatment either. Of course they did not give us cash back right then we would have to wait for it to be mailed out to us in form of company check. So now we wait to see if we get that back. So we went to PLEASURE POOL AND SPAS and purchased the same price hot tub and it will be delivered for free to us April 27 2022. Moral of this story shop local like the manager brought up they have 25 stores, I took that as they will sell the hot tub regardless they are a large company. Again another reason to shop local. I do want to add our intital salesman Eric was great and was very knowledgeable and spent time going over the hot tub with us. But I will never set another foot or spend a dime with Great Escape. Thank you for showing your customers mean nothing to your company and pushing us to shop elsewhere and find better products and service at Pleasure...

We bought a pool here a year ago and a hot tub this year. Our salesman was great and took his time to give us details and help us select the best item for our needs. Only ever had 2 issues. The first was for the pool purchase, we were promised I believe it was 30 month no interest or something like that which is why we chose them over other stores offering only 12. However when I got my stuff from loan company it was for 12. I called store and he apologized and got it corrected. 2nd issue was with the install company. First they wanted to schedule for Spring even though it was still only end of August. They finally setup for fall. They came over and leveled the ground and added sand base. Said they'd be there next day to setup pool. They arrived however it was so windy they couldn't. Next available day was over a week later. OK understandable. However in that time rabbits, squirrels etc had ran threw sand and left divots. Assumed they would level it back out before installing. However after the install and we filled out pool and filled around with dirt and did everything they said, we got in and there was divots all over and not just small ones but some several inches around. Very lumpy floor. Was told they would have to have us fully drain pool so they could level it and then refill it. However that'd be following spring and of course they wouldn't cover the water cost to have to fully refill our large pool again. This was at no fault of the great escape. They were friendly and kind and did everything they were suppose to. Thats why we bought the hot tub from them. We even mentioned we had planned on buying a new pump (1.5 year later) as we wanted a 2 stage. Salesman apologized that he had not offered that when we bought the pool and offered to let us bring it in and just pay the difference and he'd give us a 2 stage. Love this company and in a year when we pay hot tub off we'll be in to buy our patio...

After years of having an inexpensive Coleman above ground pool, and struggling year after year with greenish water. We would come into Great Escape with our water sample and they would get our water cleared up only to have it eventually go back. Draining, cleaning, refilling. I hated having a pool, but happy wife happy life. 2 years ago my wife decided we were going to upgrade from our soft sided Coleman pool to a hard sided pool.

We came into Great Escape and met Crystal. I expressed my hatred of pool life and Crystal was clear (see what I did there) about how she could make my pool life super easy. She got me set up with everything and highly recommended the Nature 2 Vision Pro combination chlorine and mineral sanitizing system. I looked at the cost of the cartridges for this thing and thought it was another gimmick.

2 years later I still recommend this to anyone who will listen. I hear people going through what I went through for years and tell them this is the easiest thing. Being a pool boy became a forgotten task it's so easy. My friends scoff when I tell them how it has made being a pool owner actually enjoyable. "What about the cost?" "I can't justify spending that kind of money on the cartridges, etc" I promise you will end up spending less on chemicals with this system. It's worth it's weight in gold and then some! I came in today to get the cartridges so we can get the pool open and ran into Crystal again, we got to talking and she remembered our story.

If you are in doubt come in and talk to Crystal she can explain how and why this thing works so well. All I know is I get to spend more time in the pool and seeing the bottom of the pool all the time is still odd to me, thanks to Crystal being so clear (sorry Crystal had to one more time) and this...
