The sales people are great and the furniture is high quality. My issue is with management. Initially, I attempted to negotiate prices, as any consumer would when spending a considerable amount of money. The manager turned me down and he told me that corporate sets their prices and he cannot negotiate. We left but we decided to come back a little bit later. We ended up purchasing even more than what we intended to. We purchased four items and spent a little bit over $9,000. During this process, our salesperson said that she could work with us on the price of delivery. We did not even bring this up It was offered to us by her and one other time by a different associate. We thought that this was great, because we had a certain budget in mind. She calls this manager over, The same one I spoke to earlier, to negotiate the delivery fee.
He immediately denies her request to wave the fee. He proceeds to tell me that The delivery guys don't get paid unless I pay the fee. He says something about how they don't add their prices of delivery into their furniture. And then goes on to tell me about how these guys delivering the furniture are a white glove service simply the best.... Ok sure.
At this point I was completely over this experience and if my wife had not been with me would have walked out in the middle of it. Im left with a very sour taste in my mouth. To be spoken to in the way that I was, I felt disrespected. It seemed that the size of the purchase didn't matter at all and my business as a customer didn't matter to him at all. Oh he cared about was making sure that he shut down my attempts and getting a discount.
I called customer service and I'm supposed to be speaking with a regional manager sometime soon. If nothing changes the way it is now I will...
Read moreMaybe we should have read the reviews and seen the 2 stars before purchasing. What a circus show. Donât bother! If you even get your furniture it will be damaged. We order a bedroom set it was damaged, waiting for the replacements. Still waiting. Ordered living room furniture in April, was told it would be here middle May. It got pushed back month after month. Until, they just stopped contacting us. We contacted them end of July and they told us we wouldnât see our furniture until next year maybe.
No one there is certain about anything. The company is real quick to take your money and once they have it, not very helpful or support after. I asked if I could get a sample of our furniture so we could setup our living room. The lady rolled her eyes and started flipping furniture cushions to show there are no samples. Then, said they could take a $50 deposit on a pillow so I could take that home!!!!!!!! Everyone on the living room side seems very disinterested in helping you, I guess itâs because they are tired of seeing people comeback and asking about their furniture. I was even told, âwell if we gave you a realistic expectation of time you wouldnât buy from us, then the guy went back to shaking his Creatine drink.â
The worst part is the Return. Our furniture is paid for. We returned it and Furniture row doesnât even process the return!!!!! They have credit company synchrony process the return. Last I checked Synchronyâs Name wasnât on the front of the building. So, now we have to wait for our check from a third party before we can go get our furniture from the competitors across the street. The competitors even knew what we went...
Read moreIn mid-February, we purchased a special order dining table & chairs. We were told it would be 12-14 weeks(~Late June). My wife called the store 3 times in June & were repeatedly told delivery would still be in late July. In late July(1 month after expected delivery time) we were told the set had been "On Hold" this whole time & was made as a solid top instead of with 2 leaves.
Previously 3 employees never told us the issue with our order when we called the store ("It's usually 18-20 weeks"). Meaning nobody really looked at our order all the other times my wife called.
After being told the table was made wrong, the next day (only because my wife asked what "On Hold" meant) did the Magr disclose the table had not been made. So this set was never ordered, never made, never existed & we were paying on it.
Magr tried to "sweeten the deal" by saying we wouldn't be charged restocking fee if we decided to return the set. When went to the store today to get our refund, we had to wait 30 minutes b/c the Magr was working in the warehouse as there was not any warehouse staff. Sorry, not my issue. He was flat & cold when talking to us & blamed poor training & "the previous state manager" & again tried to get us to keep the table on order by offering something that is not normally offered but at this point, we were done dealing with this situation waiting way too long, & getting excuses instead of actions.
For what we were spending, we did not get the service expected. We have been buying from Furniture Row for several years, but will look at other suppliers in the future.
Severely Disappointed, Mark &...
