Beautiful gem of a place! This review is based more on the children’s park which is very accessible and definitely had a lot of thought in to kids with special needs. The text in the park is English and Spanish and has a feature with braille. There’s regular slides and a roller slide (which I’ve heard can be good for those with sensitives to regular slides / static electricity). They have the bigger swings with harness for older kids, accessible xylophone, spinning seats and the see saw is designed to be accessible as well. The park was extremely clean, no debris, no graffiti. We took a walk down by the pond which was in good condition minus some small debris and the botanical garden itself was small but nicely taken care of with a little house for small kids to run in to and koi pond (people threw change in there when there is donation spots elsewhere). It is FREE. They also had bathrooms open that I didn’t check out. Overall this place was wonderful and can’t wait to take my kid back to play! We don’t have a need for wheel chair accessibility but I truly love that this park is accessible and that if a child who needs these features come they can play right alongside other children.

This park is a place where all MEN, WOMEN, CHILDREN, RACES, RELIGIONS, ECT, come together and enjoy all the pleasures that life of city people have; Such as fast and tricked out cars. To the pleasures of the country life, fields of soft grass, flowers, and wild life...EVEN FISHING HOLES...it somehow twist together, with enough room for all that come to play ball, show off cars, exercise, or learn things about life, that, if wasn't for places like this being kept in excistance for everyone to enjoy, learn, and maybe even find that just because we are born on one side of the street, "DOESNT MEAN WE HAVE TO STAY FEARING WHATS ON THE OTHER SIDE. MAYBE EVEN LEARN TO ENJOY THAT IN WHICH THIS PARK ELIMINATES THE UNKNOWN, AND JUDGEMENTAL MINDS SOCIETY HAS SO TAUGHT US WRONGLY TO DEAL WITH FOR SO MANY UEARS...

The lagoon is absolutely disgusting, and is an embarrassment to this entire park. I go here at least once a month, and can’t recall the last time I didn’t see a large dead fish floating. There is always trash in it, and it has a murky green oily look to the water around the edge of the lagoon. Not to mention the awful smell, possibly from the dead fish. And how can you have children here when every 6 inches are piles of goose droppings? The lagoon maintenance appears to be non existent.

What a beautiful place to take in the outdoors or go inside and see such a wonderful and beautiful flowers and plants . There are so many gardens to enjoy, a pond to sit and watch the ducks and water fowl, a long walkway of trees, and so much more . The staff are also very friendly and helpful. They have bathrooms on the outside of the building and you can even take well behaved dogs inside . This is definitely a place I could everyday and see how nature changes . There is no admission.

Instantly became one of my favorite places to visit and this was my first time there! I haven't even gone inside the conservatory yet either. Very well kept park. The amazing assortment of flowers and vegetables alone was worth the trip. I had never heard of blue pumpkins or black tomatoes. Just strolling along the tree mined paths with my best girl under my arm was so fantastic. It's all free also folks.

Very nice park with large duck pond and a lighted water fountain. The children's playground has been upgraded in the last year. Plenty of park benches for relaxing and if walking is your thing this park will please you. It's located in a central part of the inner city of Davenport, Iowa. The botanical building isn't huge, but is well appointed with many flowers and plants. Recommend a visit.
