Was in town over the weekend for my son's basketball tournament. We passed by Saturday afternoon and said we would stop Sunday morning on the way to the next game. The place is pretty neat from the outside. Has a comfy and contemporary vibe. Enjoyed the menu being posted in the dining area, easy to read and understand. I read some comments regarding the staff seeming a little standoffish and I can see where that feeling might come from. We weren't greeted, just kind of stared at until we were done looking at the menu. Again, very thankful for that menu so we didn't have to ask too many questions. The interaction felt a bit cold as well, not sure if I'd say rude but almost like we were imposing. I kept an eye on the order as it was being rung up and I noticed an item I did not order was added, I was assuming maybe it was in place of another item but every thing we ordered was entered plus this additional item. At that point, I mentioned that there was an item on there we didn't order and the response was "I didn't hear you order that", to which I stated I did not order it, however, I am being charged for it. She quickly removed the item but it felt a little off. The 2 donuts were VERY good. I'd definitely go back for more. The iced coffee was also very good. Maybe it was personal but the vibe seemed to be more friendly with others who walked in after us. Any way, the important part is the food and drinks were good. A little pricey though, I think the 2 donuts and 2 coffees ended up putting me at about $23...
Read moreI have NO idea how this place is so highly rated... While the customer service was fantastic - patient, friendly, thorough, half of my order of donuts are old and stale. I ordered a dozen via drive through. The cinnamon sugar cake donut is standard and good, I'll give them that. I'm sensing their speciality is cake donuts. It does leave a slight oily taste in my mouth however, but some people probably don't mind that.
But here's the thing. Don't give people stale, old donuts. I got the chocolate glazed, NON-filled Long-john. First off it's flat? It's dry on the inner layer and like, oil soaked on the outer layer of the donut itself. The icing is so sad. Breaks my heart lol. Thinly coated where you can see through it, drying out and cracking. (I added a video.) But then I got the maple Long-john. You can obviously tell this is fresh and properly glazed. It's beautiful and fluffy! A nice thick layer of maple icing, fresh and creamy. I got a cold brew and that's solid too. Why would you tarnish your name and be okay with giving out half bad product??
And to be transparent - I almost didn't leave this review because I got these for my office and everyone is raving and so happy... Maybe I'm the only one with high standards LOL.
Maybe I would try a breakfast sandwich just to give them a well rounded chance but dang.... to say I'm disappointed is an understatement, because I...
Read moreFirst of all, inside was closed. Not signed customer friendly. The chalkboard sign was in the window. Glare didn't allow to see easy. There were 3 young ladies staring at me as I attempted to open the door. One of the young ladies just looked up from her head on the counter as i attempted to open the door. Ans she was in the same spot as I drove away from picking up my order. Shortage of staff or lack of adequate help? So the customer is inconvenienced. I ordered a few donuts. I've never been here before. I am very disappointed in selection. Chocolate donut was a plain donut with chocolate icing? Blueberry donut have blue icing on it. My kids were not impressed. The sign stated the donuts price as $1,64. Yet they charged me $2.00 per donut. Tax must be really high in that area. I'm not sure I...
