We had 5 months to plan our daughters wedding at the bride and groom’s chosen venue The Funky Buddha Brewery (FBB) in Ft. Lauderdale.
Since they both live out of state, I was physically involved with the planning of the wedding and therefore made several visits to Field of Flowers in Davie, Fl. where I met and was able to work closely with Anna to make the bride and groom’s dream wedding come true.
Anna and her team were amazing, patient and professional. Anna was always available for any questions and brought a “no stress” feeling to the whole process. I brought her many pictures of the venue and what kind of decorations we envisioned trying to keep to the already decorative vibe of the brewery theme.
Anna asked many questions about the bride and grooms personality and their vision for their wedding decorations and most importantly our proposed budget . I am very creative myself and brought a few samples of things I made to be used in centerpieces . She was very appreciative and made amazing suggestions considering how to use them while keeping the vibe of FBB. She also made suggested for the many items already available at the venue all provided free to me by FBB, from the wood pergola and additional arch to the many barrels, wood and metal tables - she intertwined greenery including lots of eucalyptus and all white flowers especially roses as the bride requested . It was the perfect combination of both without going over the top and still being able seeing the natural wood shining thru.
Her suggestions were not only within our budget but also made for a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony, cocktails and reception . She would not hesitate to advise me if certain decorations were not needed to take away from the already beauty of the rooms.
We also ended up renting the greenery “LOVE” display for our backdrop for our Photo Booth room - everybody commented how beautiful and unique it was.
The bride and bridesmaid’s bouquets were perfectly done with eucalyptus, roses and a beautifully twinned natural jute at the holding spot. The men’s boutonnieres were also a simple rose entwined in a leaf and natural jute - perfect for the décor of the brewery.
The cocktail tables and all display tables (place cards, favors, photo props) had added touches of greenery and simple roses as well .
The rectangle dinner tables of wood and metal had beautiful burlap runners covered with greenery , roses , and twinkle lights. Anna incorporated all the brown glass vases I made along with some of the FBB jugs with beautiful arrangements of eucalyptus, twigs and roses. I also supplied alot of different size wood votive candles which they incorporated throughout the runners of greenery/roses . It was exactly what I had envisioned down to the last lit candle
She made sure she was there early wedding day to head up the team in flower set ups. She nailed it - especially the pergola under which the bride and groom stood for the ceremony , we felt-the warmth of the perfect blend of eucalyptus and different sizes of beautiful white roses
We didn’t discuss the details of the floral decorations with my daughter and son-in-law. I wanted to surprise them. They were over the top in love with everything Anna and FOF did and was so appreciative for her keeping in the theme of the brewery.
I can’t express how easy it was to work with Anna and the whole FOF staff who I met both in the store and wedding day for delivery, set up and breakdown - they were all so nice and professional .
We took home a-lot of the vases with the flower arrangements to use the next day at our outside brunch - instant decorations !
A week later all my quests are still calling on how beautiful the flowers were and so tastefully placed.
As soon as the photographer sends pictures we’ll upload and share the beauty of the flowers with this review
We highly recommend that you choose Anna and Field of Flowers for your next event - and have the beauty of the memories...
Read moreI was banned last night from ever doing flower bar classes at Boca and Davie store. I was attending classes there for almost 2 years. I am the most kind person you can ever meet. You can ask anyone who knows me. I was speaking to a person next to me about the arrangement and Rene the instructor yelled at me like if i was his child and was 5 years old. This was in front of a class of about 20 people. This happened in October. I was mortified, horrified, shaking. I took my stuff and left class in tears. The people in front Carolina and staff apologized. I didn’t go back to class till end of December. I would sit in back not speak to anyone and minded my own business. He antigonized me over and over. Finally this last Wednesday I had enough. He treated me like I didn’t exist i said I’m not invisible can you help me I paid for the class. He yelled in front of the class you are difficult! I had not said a word. This man I had considered a friend. I tipped him, did a birthday party for him, brought him rosaries from Italy, brought him lunch and water for every class. The acts of kindness were so many. He never apologized. They have treated me awful and now I’m banned. They took something that was so special to me that I enjoyed doing. I’m beyond distraught and upset. The class was suppose to be fun it’s not a college class it’s field of flowers. They told me i could buy the flowers and I could do it at home but never there again. And Rene himself never spoke to me about what he did wrong. I’m just appalled and hurt. This is the business you are dealing with. Customers don’t...
Read moreFive stars for Field of Flowers on this Teacher Appreciation Week. I went into this location earlier in the week with my seven-year, Katherine, to buy a single stem at the direction of my wife Jennifer.
Apparently, each of my daughter's second grade classmates were to buy a single stem and bring it to school to be added to a vase. With 16 students, the vase would be full and - supposedly - Mrs. P at the Sagemont Lower School in Weston would feel appreciated.
I wanted to go to Publix. After all, a flower is a flower. Why should I spend extra money at a flower boutique when the flower is going to die in a few days anyway??? I even though of the Dollar Store. After all, I needed just a single stem to mix with the other kids flowers.
Upon arrival at the store, Kate switched up and decided she wanted to purchase more than a single stem. This could get a little pricey I thought...
Being helped by Michelle, I advised that I forgot my coupons at home. She inquired whether I had a Groupon or just a dollars off coupon. I stated that it was a dollars off coupon. After Kate picked something in the $40 range for her teacher, Michelle "found" a 20% off coupon for me to use.
It's all about customer service and saving money in a tough economy. I was hopeful to save money in spite of the much higher purchase than suggested by my wife. $8 is $8 and while my daughter complains that I won't shop without coupons, my savings throughout the year helps pay her private school tuition.
