Wolf Lake Park — Attraction in Davie

I have been to this park a few times and now it's one of my favorites. A few things to know

1. There are no horse rentals, it's if you have a horse you can bring them. it is wonderful to see them around but be careful because i have had issues with people riding them on the smaller trails where we can't see them and they cant see us. we heard the horse running and the woman lost control of the horse. luckily we were able to move out of the way on time. The people riding them didn't even say sorry or acknowledge what they did wrong. Unfortunately, some riders will be a*holes so just be mindful on the small trails and try to hear for them.
2. no swimming, diving or wading at this park. There are gators, snakes so I'm assuming that is why it's not allowed.
3. no boats that has gas powered are allowed. Although you can fish and boat (non-gas) with a permit. you'll have to call the office about that.
4. They do have restrooms, picnic areas that are nice. check out there site for shelter that you can rent. it has a meeting room and kitchen.
5. This is a very pet friendly area. We love seeing all the dogs when we go on our walks there. Please pick up after your pets and yourself please. I have seen more liter here and clear fishing lines on the trails. Please keep it clean and pick up after yourself. I try to throw away the lines if i see them because it is terrible to wild life. Yesterday was our third time visiting this park. Each time we visit, we envision having friends come along with us to share in its beauty.

The park consists of a huge lake with an equestrian trail which goes all the way around the lake.

The trail is shaded by majestic Pine trees and the path is comprised of compact dirt & Pine needles.

As a disabled person who uses various mobility devices as the need arises, I would say that the trail is wheelchair accessible. As yesterday was a good day for me, mobility-wise, I used my cane. A wheelchair user can expect to experience a bumpy ride.

There is a small gazebo with one picnic table. There is a large pavilion with approximately 16 picnic tables. The bathrooms are attached to that pavilion, but on the opposite side from the seating/eating area. You can reserve the pavilion for $160. The price may change but that was the quoted cost for non-Davie residents.

There are 3 stand-alone picnic tables scattered around the lake as well.

Got my phone stolen at this park, so make sure to never leave your belongings anywhere or in the bathroom like I did. That may be the only instance where I was so sad coming to this park, some people just suck but oh well thats anywhere. But, other than that lol, this park is great and I come here often with my friends. It's free to all day every day, plenty of parking, picnic benches, some grills and a little shelter to sit at in front of the lake. There's also a shelter near the bathrooms where you can sit or have a party there. The trails are great to walk around multiple times, and there's different paths you can take and can even go uphill. Huge lake in the middle of the park that you walk around. Lots of beautiful foliage and plants. Many people come here to exercise, take photos, have picnics by the lake, or just have a peaceful walk with family, friends and even dogs. Been coming here for years and never get tired of it! Bring mosquito spray, because towards the evening they come out and can be annoying. Hope you enjoy...
