Upon arrival, we were asked to wait while they reset the room, no big deal, except we wasted quite a large chunk of time in the first room since it was not put together correctly. This was discovered when we kept asking for hints and our game master realized that the wrong locks were placed in the wrong spots. The clues did not tell a story so this was impossible for us to catch which just led to frustration. Once we figured out all the clues in the first half there was no clear indication that we were ready to move on to the second half, we had to confirm with our game master that we weren’t missing anything since nothing happened or told us to move forward. When we got to the second half of the room (again no storyline to follow) we realized how excessively dirty and dusty everything was, and I proceeded to have a sneezing fit (check the footage). There were small broken pieces of wood on the floor, and one of the clues was visibly broken and hanging from the wall. After the mix up in the first half we began overthinking if things were actually placed correctly for us or if we were stuck because it wasn’t put together right, which was impossible to figure out because again, the clues were sporadically placed with no storyline and no real indication of what comes next. Edit after owner response: Check again, you spelled my name wrong, and you may staff per booking, but the cancellation was done 6 minutes after booking, so you didn't even get to that point yet. Terrible customer service. And do not lie, I used your websites contact form with this issue and you never replied. You are a fraud of a company, and have made no attempt to rectify this situation other than try and antagonize on a google review. Your "clearly stated no refund policy" is also a lie, since someone would have to go digging in the website to find it. Its bad practice anyways. If you want the proof, I have the booking and cancellation confirmation dated 6 minutes apart, and sent it to my credit card company for dispute. If you don't want to refund no shows that's understandable, but there is no reason a person in my situation should not get their money back. Customer service is more important than your scam you call a policy, and had I just gotten the refund, I probably would have booked with you in the future since my family loves escape rooms, and have done many in the area. Read moreGroup of 3, we were extremely excited for this room and spent $100 to go, the girl who was the host was not enthusiastic or inviting at all! Took us 15 mins to get into the room, she handed us a walkie talkie and said we could use it for clues, we tried using the walkie talkie and it worked once but as we entered the other room it stopped working, we couldn’t get a clue for second room. The “scary” part was her banging on the door once. The host was not a fun host, I’ve did several of these in the past and have had a lot more fun elsewhere. She didn’t show us how we lost, she wouldn’t even come close enough to take a picture. We had to take our own pics. She didn’t say bye, she didn’t even thank us for coming! Also her excuse for the walkie talkie was “oh I had it on the wrong channel”!
