I had Pho Bar bookedmarked in my Google "want to go" list for a while, and I got so lucky when my friend visiting from out of town wanted to go here! Absolutely no need to twist my arm.

To start, the ambiance is definitely trendy and Instagrammable, but not in a way that feels gratuitous. It's appropriate with the vibe of the place as a whole! The menu is pretty straightforward with a great layout that not only gives you descriptions of the meals, but you have pictures of almost every single dish and drink. You have no idea how much I appreciate that whenever my phone decides to not load Yelp.

Since that initial visit with my friend, I've been back about 3 more times, and two of those times by myself for happy hour! The servers are always super attentive, friendly, and best of all, are very patient with answering any questions you (I, for sure) may have on how a dish should be eaten if you're not familiar! I love that it's a learning experience along with enjoying really really good food.

As for their happy hour menu, they have $6 bites and cocktails! They also have beers ranging from $3-5. I'm a repeat offender when it comes to ordering the pork belly banh mi for happy hour. It has been consistently delicious each time. The bread is firm enough to secure all the delicious meaty and pickled contents inside, but soft enough to fit into your mouth for optimal nomming. The fried calamari and spring rolls are both solid options, but my new favorite are the egg rolls. The portions are perfect for sharing with a friend if you want to order 2 or more of the happy hour food items.

And if you haven't stuffed yourself with tasty bites during happy hour, I recommend sharing the grilled pork and noodles dish! No words could tell you the joy I felt when I saw that it comes with an eggroll (clearly my new favorite here). The pork is full of flavor, not too chewy, and all the herbs fresh and are full of flavor. If you like mussels, the lemongrass coconut mussels are chef's kiss and the sticky ribs are irresistible.

As for the drinks, I've tried the delicious and potent lychee martini, mango margarita, and Midnight Orchid. I definitely have to keep coming back so I can try the rest of the cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks from their menu. They have fruit teas, lemonade, milk teas, smoothies, and Vietnamese coffee too!

And if you're like me and need to round off a hefty meal with just a lil' something sweet, you can't go wrong with the ube cheesecake cup. It feels so light, yet full of so much flavor. If the shooter-sized cup isn't enough (which I understand, sometimes, you need something stronger to take the edge off), I would definitely recommend the toasted almond ube mousse cake as well.

While I'm still working in the area, I will definitely be coming back here and trying out new items...

Updated Review: It is unfortunate to say that we are not returning to this restaurant anymore. Me and my friends have been coming here at least once a week if not more. We started to notice the portion of noodle started to shrink quite a bit. First our server was no where to be found, we had to ask another server about the portion shrinking, and she was kind to assure us that she would get us more noodles, but little do we know we were charged $3 extra per bowl. Had we knew that earlier, we wouldn’t get those. Not only that, my order of appetizer didn’t arrive until my friends had already finished their food. Our server didn’t say anything about the appetizer getting delayed until I asked her if she had put in the order for me. This restaurant was a go to place for us, the food is great but for the amount they are charging and the regressing service really disappointed us. We will be going to other pho restaurants instead.

————- A Delightful Experience at Pho Bar! 🍜

Upon entering Pho Bar, one is immediately embraced by the warm and inviting atmosphere, which perfectly complements the rich and aromatic scents wafting from the kitchen. I must commend Nikita for her impeccable service; attentive, friendly, and well-versed with the menu, she ensured our dining experience was nothing short of exquisite.

For those looking for a zesty kick to start off their meal, I highly recommend indulging in their spicy wings during happy hour. At $6 for 4 pieces, not only are they a steal, but they also provide the perfect blend of heat and flavor.

Of course, the highlight of our visit was the spicy pho. The broth was rich and aromatic, the noodles perfectly cooked, and the spice level was just right, offering a pleasant warmth without being overpowering.

In conclusion, Pho Bar offers a delightful culinary journey, and I’ll certainly be...

This modern hip Pho spot came highly recommended…so I had to check it out. And I must say, this place didn’t disappoint!! Decor and welcoming service was very inviting. The menu pretty much has a little bit of everything that you could want from a Vietnamese Restaurant. They offer fresh spring roll, fried chicken wings, ribs, Vietnamese savory Crepes, Phos, rice bowls, vermicelli bowl, bun mi, desserts and drinks!!

We ordered some apps (fresh rolls, fried Spring rolls and Vietnamese Savory Crepe (bun xeo) to start. Sauces had some great flavors and while the bun xeo was good, it could have been a little more crispy. Over all apps are about 9.5/10!!

Then for the entrees we ordered the house special pho (has everything) while I ordered without tripe and tendons but they still left it in and i still enjoyed the rest it would have been better if they just left it out like I ordered (Small detail). The Vietnamese Lomo Saltado (8oz Filet) Stir fried, this one had great flavors!! And kids Pho for my daughter. Both the Pho broth had great and big flavors but we can taste a lot of MSG and felt it after (mouth and lips get really dry and wanting lots of liquids) 8.5/10 for the Pho.

For the dessert we ordered the Ube mousse and the Passion Fruit fizz. The fizz was very refreshing and the Ube mousse is very delicious, not too sweet and just enough Ube flavor and texture was great with the roasted coconut flakes.

Over all I give this trip a 4.5/5! Service was on point! Server was knowledgeable about the menu and food came out fairly fast. The only thing that the kitchen forgot to leave out the tripe and the tendon for me (I thought the server made a mistake but I saw it was on the check). And also the bathroom could have...
