VERY!! Bad!! Dining experience. Upon my arrival, I held the door for a couple behind me and shortly I was told I could seat myself. After being seated for about 10min we flagged down a waitress and asked for a menu, she apologized and provided menus. As soon as she was able to do so, our waitress brought our water and we ordered (20mins in). After ordering a woman and her daughter sat in front of us and after about 10min’s she had to flag down one of the two waitresses for a menu as-well. She eventually got a menu, looked it over and soon after ordered a burger for her daughter, she instructed the waitress to put her daughter’s food order in first and she would put her own order in when she returns to the table. At this stage I’m 40min’s into my dining experience so now I’m watching the kitchen movement closer. From the time I arrived, I observed BOTH waitresses taking cards, taking cash, bussing tables and even cleaning up spilled coffee on the kitchen FLOOR. Between all of theses transactions they were observed making toast and English muffins with their bare hands, then buttering toast and placing them on plates to serve. Now, the woman in the table in front of me received her full order (Burger and fries for her daughter and eggs and grits for herself) and I still had yet to get my food (I ordered egg and grits as-well). In addition, the couple I had held the door for had finished eating and was leaving. The last straw for me was when I saw the waitresses after receiving plates from the cook take pancakes, grab with their bare hands, lift one up and butter in between them and placing them back on the plates before serving to customers. I never saw any of the two waitresses wash their hands, even after touching plates, cups, money, hand to hand card transactions. The establishment is going to get someone very SICK. I attempted to dine here on Saturday, June 24, 2023, between 11:30AM and 12:30....
Read moreSimple meal, quaint atmosphere, kind waitress. It’s a diner feel inside with a lot of tchotchkes on the walls and the tv on, conveniently located right by griffs western. It was not very busy and we were told to sit wherever we liked. Our waitress was sweet and attentive, we had no issues with the service and parking was easy. I love a big free open parking lot!
We both ordered chicken wraps and sides of fresh fruit. They were good, the fruit was fresh and sweet. I loved that it was local as well. The wrap was large but had less chicken than I would’ve liked and was more lettuce. The chicken was also chopped very small so it fell out easily as you ate it. The flavor of the chicken was good though and especially so with the added buffalo sauce.
I also got a cappuccino, it was simply okay, I expected more when I saw they had the espresso machine but the espresso was bland, so much so I wondered if it even was espresso. The prices were neither outrageous nor cheap, just average. All in all I would not return but no strong feelings about it in...
Read moreThis is our 2nd or 3rd time here and the food is so good (and reasonably priced). The Breakfast Croissant of Turkey, Egg and American Cheese was very large and jthe flavors were just right (and for fun, some very good [texture made the difference] grits for fun). The PBO Omelette (Portabello mushroom, Bacon, Onions and Swiss Cheese) was a really good combination and very enjoyable (and the side of Oatmeal was just good). Ashley took very good care of us (came by twice to refill our coffee and again to see how we liked our food...she is a very pleasant young woman). On a normal day, breakfast would have been about $30.00 (Grits are not included with the sandwich), but due to the egg shortage, it cost an extra $3.00 for the 4 eggs we had. Look at the menu and you not only should see some reasonable prices ($10.95 for a Burger, normal toppings and fries) but different and unusual combinations that should taste great (English muffins with corned beef hash, poached eggs, etc.). We will be back. Final note: Limited hours of...
