Lula M. McElroy Park — Attraction in Daytona Beach Shores

The park is Wonderful, the Pickleball courts are beautiful and well maintained. My rating is based on the player groups on Saturday and Sunday Mornings. RUDE RUDE RUDE. The rules are just like all other pickleball courts to put your racket in the holder between games. We have done this EVERY time. And someone always comes up to us stating you can’t stay on the courts. We don’t! We are not in their clique group, we are not there to group up and play doubles. These are city courts everyone is entitled to play no matter what level no matter if playing singles or doubles. And don’t make rude comments to go play on the practice courts. I will continue to play here, I will continue to fight for my allowed game time (and abide by the court rules). Respect Everyone that shows up there. Just RUDE!!! I give a 4 star...

Went here two weeks ago for pickleball and again today, and I can't get over how incredibly rude and entitled the older generation are at this park. You'd think with old people, they've been alive long enough to understand patience when people are learning a new sport. To make people feel bad and laugh at them... Super unsportsmanlike and just all around rude. You'd think they own the courts with how they all behave. Was told today by an old woman who approached me," You shouldn't be meeting anyone here because you're not playing." Disgusted by the people...

Very pretty, well maintained park. The dog park is very nice. The park for the kids is just across from it and is clean and safe.

There are tables and a covered pavilion to sit and watch your kids play.

They also have one of those little free library exchange boxes to take/leave a book.

My only small complaint is that there is only 1 swing. There are 2 but one is a baby swing. Also on the merry go-round type thing there is kind of a step down and then there are spaces in between them which is a...
