Ice Cream Social of DBS — Restaurant in Daytona Beach Shores

If you are looking for ice cream in Dayton Beach Shores you need to visit Ice Cream Social of DBS. We have tried three other ice cream places in this area and Ice Cream Social is our favorite.

Visited tonight and had the Elephant Ear ice cream flavor (dark chocolate chips, peanut butter and a super creamy vanilla ice cream). I tried the waffle bowl and it tasted very fresh and was super crispy. Fun way to have the flavor of the cone without the mess.

The single scoop was very generous and just the right amount for an after-dinner treat.

My wife tried the Captain's chocolate (dark chocolate) and really liked the flavor. As a dark chocolate lover she is often disappointed with the flavor profile of dark chocolate ice cream but she truly enjoyed the Captain's Chocolate.

My mother-in-law had a sundae with the vanilla fudge and she enjoyed the ice cream. She had the hot fudge topping but was disappointed with the hot fudge. She thought the hot fudge tasted like Hershey's chocolate syrup and not hot fudge. The topping was runny and not rich like hot fudge.

They have a great variety of flavors and reasonable prices. We met the owners and they were very personable and friendly.

Wonderful place, extremely friendly staff, and delicious ice cream!

We had originally planned to go to Cow Lick’s but when we saw how busy they were, we decided to venture down the road a little farther in hopes of finding another ice cream place. We stumbled upon The Ice Cream Social and I’m so glad we did!

With 10 minutes until close they accepted us with bright smiles and friendly hello’s! They did not rush us and seemed happy that we were there! A few more small groups of people came in nearly immediately after us and not one employee seemed displeased. They were all happy to have customers! I was thoroughly impressed by their attitudes and patience with all of us late-arriving customers and I admired their patience and kindness!!

The ice cream was delicious and my 1 year old son loved it! We will definitely have to come back before we head home to Kentucky!

Many flavors. Decor and style is clean and inviting. The staff is warm and genuine with a long standing commitment to growing the local economy and supporting tourism along the beachside. The black cherry ice cream is quintessentially creamy with just enough tang and real dried cherries to make this ice cream seem like a custom small batch recipe. Worth a try and worth returning! Prices are fair for the quality and service is upbeat. The menu contains some options that include protein powder, malt powder, or PB Fit in smoothies like the “Green Crush” or the “Disappearing Island”. Parking and location are fantastic just right across the street is a new beachfront public park where one can eat ice cream, drink milkshakes, and watch the waves...
