Wish they were open 24hours like they were 20years ago! Many memories as a kid, young adult, and currently. I can't wait until you all repair and extend the pier to it's original length... Great locals and staff!... 3 vents: Surfers vs Fishermen... I wish you all would help enforce or communicate with the Beach Patrol about no swimming zones on each side of the pier. Depending on which lifeguard is on duty, I hardly see anyone enforce no surfing in this area. Debris and fishing line on pylons!.. I know it is tough prevent, but it is getting difficult to fish with all the line and debris. Always getting snagged and broke off!... The dude with the huge cane pole (a regular there) is rude and has no etiquette for others fishing on the pier...really rude when he fishes under the pier and takes up an entire side of the pier at the break (this while others payed to fish)..... He doesn't hesitate on crowding people out of their spot or sneaking into your spot when you step away to bait up... First encounter: he was Fishing for black drum under the pier and he dragged my line up on his side, cut it and went on fishing. I have witnessed him keeping drum over the bag limit and did not seem to care about the size limits... . Not a good practice and I was soooo close to calling FWC!... ...

Blonde hair attendant given too much power. Crowded day and was read the riot act for walking out without any gear to see if there was room to fish. She then screamed at my friend who stayed with the equipment. Threw over the top attitude when we went to pay to fish on the over crowded pier. Decided to leave. Took money back and we’re heading out when the lady came running and yelling after us that we, and I quote here, “You’ll never fish on her pier again”.

Okay lady. We will avoid you. There are a million places to fish in FL. But I’m gonna share this story with every single person I know.

Update; later that evening, after writing an email on the “Contact Us” tab of their website, I received a call from Nicole, the general manager of the restaurant and pier. I’d like to thank Nicole for her professionalism and understanding. She made this situation right. Something that is far too uncommon these days. ...

We love the staff and the people here. We don't appreciate the management always running out of so many items on a Thursday and still didn't have any of them when we returned on Friday and spent the day. They were out of.... Hot chocolate, apple juice, orange juice, corn flake french toast, chocolate chips for pancakes, blueberries for pancakes and that was just our table. I find it insulting that the same industry that has been desperate to keep full didn't use the half full time to fine tune the systems and cleanliness of most restaurants and this one was unfortunately no different. Volusia county could take some self pride for itself and clean the public water parks. The boardwalk desperately needs a coat of paint and just better sanitary conditions.

Again the staff...

This is not only a pier for fishing it also has a reastraunt called Crabby joes . Do not mistake this for the famous JOES CRAB SHACK which cost an arm and leg to eat at for 2 people joes crab shack to just get a simple dinner was over a 100.00 but at Crabby joes you can go get a meal for 2 with drinks was 50.00 This is a great place to go you can either eat inside or outside on the pier under the stars & moon or out over the ocean during daytime & watch the surfers & Pelicans and the ocean waves. I am also a smoker so out on the pier they offer ash trays for those who are still smokers

This pier was really beautiful. It's free to walk onto it, you just walk into the restaurant and let the host know that you would like to walk onto the pier. If you wish to fish it's $3 per person. The parking was free as well, first come first serve. Since it's a restaurant there are no dogs allowed. And also, if you eat at the restaurant and you choose to eat at the tables on the outer part of the restaurant, the birds will be eating with you. Might want to bring something to disinfect your table with.

No fishing license required, rental bait and tackle available right on the pier as well as the sea food restaurant Crabby Joe's also located right on the pier itself. If your catch is legal and you wish to keep it and have the time, for only a small fee the restaurant will cook and prepare your catch for you. Great for tourists coming down for a short stay and don't wish to purchase the 3 day temporary license required in the state of Florida.
