Bluegreen Dolphin Beach Club — Hotel in Daytona Beach Shores

From the outside, the hotel looks a little dated because the entry door of the rooms are exposed to the outside. While in the process of checking in, Olivia (receptionist) informed me that all of the rooms had been renovated on the inside which was a huge relief. Our room had a queen bed, stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and a roomy table to eat meals. The couch, lounging chair, and bed were comfortable and not run down. There's only 1 large tv and a awesome cable line with tones of channels to watch. Overall, the room bath, and kitchen were pretty clean. There is another lockable door that opens to the balcony which overlooks the pool, outdoor lounging area, and beach. Speaking of the beach, your literally right up on the beach /water. The only negative experience, is the fact that the pool area was closed and didn't reopen until our checkout day because they were assembling new outdoor furniture, tables, and umbrellas. This was our first time visiting this hotel and it was an amazing experience. We went during the week of July 4th, but that didn't impede our stay. The beach is right outside the gate and had three turtles nests!

The beach itself was spotless. You're able to drive on the beach, so setup for the day is easy. The ocean was crystal clear during our stay.

The pool deck was cleaned every morning and came with loads of games. There's a massive pavilion where you can cook out on one of their many grills. There is plenty of seating and the pool, sauna, and hot tub were well maintained. The pool deck was open 24/7, weather permitting, but once the sun went down it cleared out so noise wasn't an issue.

The rooms were spacious and modern. Everything was clean and we'll maintained. All of the studios have a gorgeous view of the ocean with their own patios.

The hotel is a quick walk away from the pier, which has a fantastic restaurant and is close by many of the local attractions and shops. Putt-putt is less than a five minute walk away as are many gift shops.

The resort just reopened a couple weeks ago! We’ve been coming here for approximately 17 years and they had to remodel all units from the last hurricane! We had a few maintenance problems but each problem was handled quickly! The bed was comfortable and everything in the unit was good except lighting could have been better! The shower was good but the hot water was not very hot! The pool area was redone and the pool was excellent! The grills were new but you had to use a lighter to light them! Could use more lounges at the pool area! Hot tub was working and nice and they now have a clean restrooms there! The steps to the beach are blocked still but you have a ramp to get in to the beach! The crew that works there are very friendly and knowledgeable! Major complaints is I understand service dogs and their was two during are visit but they don’t belong in the hot tub and the people working there don’t tell them anything about it! Also I feel sorry for the cleaning crew that have to clean the room because they had the dog in the ocean bring it back...
