After having a decent experience with this company, I ended up having a terrible experience and would warn others to ask more questions before you pay your bill.
I brought in my mac after having problems with the CD reader. After a few days they called, said it was ready, I picked it up, the problem was unchanged. I brought it back in and again, and stated, if this is going to be expensive, or the computer won't work properly, please let me know, I would rather go out and purchase a new computer than spend money on something that is going to break down.
I was assured that wasn't the case and after a few days they said I could pick it up and not only was the CD not working, but somehow the garageband application in my computer had been removed from the system. This destroyed over 90 hours of work I had put in mixing music for my duo....I brought the computer back in and this time I was called and said the internal reader was damaged and I would need an external CD reader and called me to pick up the computer with the new CD Reader. This baffles me because why didn't they know it was damaged before?
After spending nearly 3 hours trying to install the CD Reader, I gave up and went to Best Buy. I picked up a reader there and it installed with no issues. I went back and returned the CD reader to Networks.
Although the new CD reader worked, I was horrified to find that not only was my music missing, but also the information I painstakingly put together for my taxes was also gone.
So not only did I NOT get a working computer, work was destroyed and caused me to purchase a new computer, be late on my taxes and had to spend a multitude of hours redoing my music, reconstructing my tax records, etc.
Networks effectively cost me an additional 2000.00 over the cost of their "repair", which didn't work and my computer died...
Read moreOn 9/14/2016 Daniel Hicks a Computer Tech from Daytona Networks arrived at my home for an appointment I made several days prior. He did call me and ask if it was ok if he showed a few minutes early which I had no problem with, I was glad he did call first. Anyways Dan showed up in a nice company van in a very professional manner and introduced himself. Now...keep in mind, I had a terrible experience with another local company just 2 weeks prior so I was on my guard. I never had to use a computer repair company before and the first one was more interested in selling me additional crap and took forever addressing my problems which not all were repaired. So I was apprehensive. Dan went to work immediately, within minutes I was at ease with his demeanor and attitude. He listened to my concerns ( I wrote a list ) I had a lot of them and didn't think everything could be fixed, it was some real complicated issues I had going on. One by one Dan addressed my list and repaired everything !!!! not only did he fix it, he made my new system run much more efficient than I had it set up for without selling me anything. ( by the way he never tried to upsell me anything ) as a matter of fact he helped me locate a memory card on line and saved me a fortune. Before he left he took me through everything he did and asked if this was what I was looking for, it was...and a whole lot more. I was amazed at his knowledge and skill on these systems I had no problem paying for the work he did. I was very pleased with the whole experience and now I have a company and a tech to call when I have computer issues. I highly recommend Daytona Networks, I know nothing about computers...Dan knew that, and never took advantage and tried to rip me off like the other company did 2 weeks ago. Call them, you will be...
Read moreI seldom write or post testimonials or complaints regarding my service providers. However, I am compelled to communicate about the extraordinarily good service I received from Net Works, Inc. in Daytona Beach recently. I own a Dell mini tower that would not power up so, therefore, would not load its MS Windows O/S on the machine. I conducted some web research regarding potential local solutions providers and settled on Net Works, Inc. based on their strong customer reviews and the manner in which the company presents itself on the web. This was my first visit so my experience with the company is extremely limited. However, I can easily make some very favorable judgements despite the tiny sample size. The customer service folks who answer the phone or greet you in the office are personable and efficient. My technician, Dustin, was flat out terrific. Explained the process and the company's minimum $50 charge to examine the machine. Most importantly, this first visit gave proof to the company's integrity. They could have charged me up to several hundred dollars to repair the PC mini tower - I had no idea what was wrong or what it would take to fix it. When Dustin called the next day he explained that some of the unit's RAM was bad and preventing the machine from fully powering on and loading the O/S. He replaced the faulty RAM and let me know the entire repair was covered by the $50 "look/see" fee. Awesome - what honesty and integrity - precisely, along with strong competence, that I seek in a service provider. The bottom line: repair completed in under 48 hours, with terrific service end to end and clearly the highest integrity. I know consider Net Works, Inc. to be my IT solutions provider and will recommend the company strongly to...
