Needed a pair of glasses after my cataract surgery. Went in they were short staffed like most places which i understand from most places nowadays. Right when it was my turn to get waited on the one lady told the other lady to go on her lunch break. There was only one person running the whole place. My glasses were covered under my insurance because they were part of my cataract surgery which I called the insurance company before i went in and they verified the info. The lady got on line with my insurer who also verified the glasses were covered. She even called the other Shopko Store in town and they said to go ahead with my purchase. She was skeptical and I told her I needed the glasses. Another. person came in who needed her eyes examined and then another person came in to pick up glasses. She couldnāt handle everyone and was getting frustrated. I asked her to hold the glasses in picked out I would come back later she said she would be there. I came back at 4:30 she wasnāt there the other lady was there that was on her lunch break when i was there earlier. I told her the conversation i had and the glasses that were held for me. She eventually found them and then began to tell me that the insurance doesnāt cover glasses i told her the same thing she told me 5 times how i would be responsible for paying for them if the insurance didnāt cover them. I felt like a criminal in a trial trying to defend myself. She was extremely negative and condescending about my situation for which i told her i had checked with my insurance and Shopko Optical was on the list etc I even told her nicely that she needed to be more positive. She put the order in for the glasses. Somehow I didnāt feel good about it though from a professional standpoint. I came back a week later to pick up the glasses the first lady i spoke with was there. I tried the glasses on and they were completely off I couldnāt see through them. She checked the computer the lady who processed my glasses put in the wrong prescription. Itās right before Christmas she said she could try and put a rush on the order that was the best she could do. I told her no thanks I would go somewhere else. She had no problem with that. She generated a return receipt didnāt even appear to be apologetic or care that they had made a mistake. Wow. donāt go there. Save your money go to a professional eye...

Was not happy with new lenses, so ordered the previous brand/ type with new prescription, they mailed them. I just opened them to change my lenses, and the prescription is different than the trial lenses I was given. I called to ask why, and which was my correct. They had to check and call me back. They told me they did not give me -2.75 trial lenses ( I have the box in my hand), and they sent me -2.00 lenses, I have 2 unopened boxes (also in my hand). They told me my prescription is -1.50, and I need to return the trial lenses, and the 2 boxes of the wrong prescription that they sent me, before they can send me the correct lenses. I live 75 miles from the office and will not make a special trip to fix their error. I asked him to send me the correct lenses, and I will drop the others off next time I get to Green Bay. Hmmm..they can't order the correct lenses until I return the incorrect lenses that they sent me. So, I have no contacts. Please consider this before going to Shopko Optical. Update: The manager called and explained that the associate that I spoke to was new, and she would work with him on his customer service. That was nice, but he did not order and send me the wrong contacts, and it was the store policy to not order the new lenses until I returned the incorrect lenses. She offered to send me a shipping label to mail them back. So....another couple weeks of no contacts. She said she would include a sample lens as well. It arrived, in a regular envelope, with the trial lens totally squished, useless, and a mailing label. I ended up going to Green Bay anyhow, so dropped the lenses (and shipping label) off and asked them to order the new/correct lenses and mail them to me. She told me she had already ordered them, but could not tell me when they would arrive. She did get me another trial lens, and I requested a copy of my prescription, in the event I need more contacts. I will be looking for a different eye care center for...

I am claustrophobic and after waiting more than an half hour to be seen, I had a hard time breathing and felt fainting because of the mask. So I had to pull my mask under my nose to breathe. Instead of the eye Dr. Peot asking me if I needed help, water or to sit down she told me to leave and reschedule with Irascible behavior. Then she went and asked her Manager Jennifer and she told me the same thing. They could care less that I had anxiety and felt light headed/fainting and told me to leave instead of asking me if I needed help! What an awful experience and then they argued with me in front of their customers instead of bringing me to a room for confidentially to ensure I was ok from not fainting. The Dr. is Very uneducated, disrespectful, and only cared about herself. Itās obvious she wouldnāt know what to do if someone fainted or felt faint. My insurance provider has been contacted and plans Not to not use Shopko as a provider of our network. My family Dr. is sending Shopko a letter on my claustrophobic condition, in which Shopko knew about from my medical record as they checked me in. The Shopko CEO has been Contacted by my insurance company, the Shopko CEO called me to find out what happened and plans to take action! I will pursue a lawyer against my civil rights! Iām done with people being rude to people that like to be in a position of power! This was all about who can be in a position of power to make you wear a mask the way they want you too. Not everyone can wear a mask for health reasons! You might want to get educated Dr.Peot in the health care field and look for a new job! Thanks for being inhuman!
