Dearborn Fresh Supermarket — Attraction in Dearborn

Dearborn Fresh has all the amenities a shopper would want of a grocery store; a newly revamped parking lot with ample parking; great physical aesthetic inside and out of the structure; easily accessible aisles that are clean and organized, and a wonderful staff ready to help with any questions or concerns. As the name of the store implies, you will find fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and baked goods, along with several other food items. I recommend this lovely neighborhood grocery store.

The only complaint I have is in regards to my experiences at the butchery. I stood in line waiting to be acknowledged for 6-7 mins, but the employees just avoided eye contact. No 'hey' no 'we'll be right with you'. Just awkward glances. I walked away altogether when another customer approached the counter and was assisted before me. Yes, I took a number (they weren't honoring that system, I guess). No, I'm not acting out of spite. I want nothing more than to support our local businesses. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I feel second-rate at this butchary.

My advice: acknowledge the customer. Even if you can't help right away, just say 'hello, we'll be with you in a moment'. Also, use the number system. It avoids awkwardness about who came first. If you don't want to use the number system, then be sure you're helping people on a first come first serve bases.

Edit: I originally gave five stars, but after my experience with the butchery I'm sorry to say that would be misleading....

Save yourself the headache and don’t shop at this establishment! I’ve shopped here for convenience but after what happen to me yesterday I’d rather spend my money elsewhere! The “store manager” rang me up and when I used my credit card he proceeded to tell me my card was declined which was not true I have it set up that i get notifications whenever my card is used which I showed him on my phone, he proceeded to tell me it’s declined it’s declined causing other customers to look over. I felt so embarrassed ! I asked for a manager and he told me he is the manager. Then another older man came over and he apparently was another manager same thing telling me my card was declined when clearly I had proof payment went through. So embarrassing for a customer! And then he told me to leave my groceries they will put it aside and once my card “clears” to come back for them ( mind you i had meat, dairy products ) such a bad experience! I had my kids with me and pregnant, my anxiety was through the roof! I used another method of payment to just get out of there. And I called my bank and they said payment wasn’t declined and it went through right away they said whatever happen was probably a store issue.This morning i woke up to a notification from my bank they charged my card twice! I will be letting all my friends and family not to shop here …. Seems like they are...

Went here for the first time yesterday and even though there was a lot there I didn't know what it wasGoogle helped me out. The veggie section, they have super fresh items and way cheaper than the chain grocery stores. I cook a lot of middle eastern themed dishes so now I know where to go to get my items easily. Oh and they have Whole Watermelon with seeds I need my watermelon with the seeds! I was not expecting to find Ox Tails there but they had them and they where about 6.00 cheaper than I'm used to paying. They have a bulk food area for spices you bag your own and there is an older guy there who will weigh it and tag it for you. From what I saw the meat section isn't huge but it's enough and they have pretty whole chickens there almost kinda sexy looking 😂 I should have gotten one. Then there is the bakery omg such beautiful stuff there I didn't get anything though. Next was the area they sell hot foods they also have a eating area for people to sit and eat. Not sure why I didn't take pictures probably my mind was too much on should I get a Shwarma or not but I didn't get one. They had lots of people in there the lunch crowd. I have to definitely go back because they had a bunch of interesting soda flavors like Kiwi and the Ginger Beer and with Pineapple.
