My wife and I were in the area visiting family and decided to try something new since this restaurant had so many positive reviews. let me just preface this by saying this is one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had and we have eaten at quite a few restaurants. The service here is quite possibly the worst I have ever experienced in a restaurant. I don't know if they were short staffed or what, but it appeared there was only one person attending to the tables during the lunch hour on a weekend. We never received the bread we were promised numerous times, my wife never got her meal as she was originally given something completely different than what she ordered, we never received drink re-fills and it took forever to get the check. We were in there almost 1.5 hours, which is absurd for a weekend lunch when there are only 3 or 4 other tables occupied. They did offer to make my wife the correct meal, but after waiting in there for so long and struggling to get the waitresses' attention, we told them to just take it off the bill since we were ready to get out of there. I wasn't about to endure the torture for another hour. My chicken shawarma sandwich was decent, but the pita tasted store bought and it was pretty small...I'm glad I also ordered the fries with it! The timing of the food was also very weird as my wife's wrong dish arrived 20 minutes after I received my sandwich. I am not sure what the appeal is, but I would never subject myself to this torture again, let alone recommend to my...

Foods were served at different times (and not just a few minutes - it took over 20 minutes to get all the food out.) The garlic tasted freezer burnt (if that makes sense.) Then, on the way tk take my child to the restroom, we were met in the hallway with a man with an electrical auger. There was urine on the bathroom floor and the water tasted of floor cleaner. I had to ask for new water and it was fine - thank goodness. Halfway through the meal, after getting the waters replaced and getting settled back down, we heard the 'bang, bang, bang' from the electrical auger as it was snaking the sewage drains just outside the restrooms, just outside the kitchen... just on the opposite side of the booth we were eating at. Holy smokes. We had to leave after that. I've never had such an experience. Next time, maybe they should just shut down their restaurant if their toilets become clogged during business hours because now they've lost some customers. We did end up sick. Probably the damn...
Read moreBeen going here for over 15 years. Growing up in Dearborn this was my go to place, my favorite Arabic cuisine and I would recommend this place to so many family and friends. The past few years I've noticed inconsistencies with the food. So many times they would make mistakes, and I would let things slide. Many times they would substitute the meat shawarma with extra chicken, even though I am here for the meat. They don't even tell you. Call them and the lady will say sorry but we didn't have much left, next time have a free shawarma on us. But next time comes they make the same mistakes, they substitute whatever they want without asking the customer of offering a discount? I let all this slide. But last time was the straw and it was it for me. Ordered a large family order for over 10 people, and it was a disappointment. An embarrassment. Food is mediocre. Inconsistent person cooking and I can tell. The meat kabob were small like little pebbles. Hummus changed, it used to be my favorite thing ever, not anymore. No hot bread? Kafta was solid as a rock, rigid. We're absolutely done. Moving on to a different go to Arabic restaurant....
