The staff here is very snotty and discriminating. If they don't think you appear wealthy in their eyes, you are ignored and treated like you do not belong here. This is the second time I have had this experience in here, the other happening last summer. I was closely looking at the Le Creuset pots for 20 minutes and the two associates just watched me and did not once offer any assistance. I am a collector of Le Creuset and even though I avoid this location, I was curious to see what pieces were here since I already own most of the items already. Opening the boxes, reading the labels and walking around the store with other items that I did end up purchasing was apparently not a clue to them that this was an interested customer who should be taken seriously. There were very few customers in the store due to the restrictions and the two free associates, a gentleman in his 50s and a woman with extremely short buzz cut hair, were just watching me from a corner and decided not to waste their time, probably because they did not care for my appearance. The only time I was acknowledged was when I was paying at the register. I gave this store a second chance after the previous incident. I love to shop, but I just cant bring myself to go back to this location again. The other reviewers who write about similar experiences are correct about this place. I'm fortunate that my go-to location near my house has...
Read moreWS carries great items, this is true. But the overwhelming majority of things there can purchased somewhere else, less the side of attitude. I went today and picked up a few items. A woman in a red sweater offered to take them off my hands and hold them at the counter while I shopped, as she saw me struggling with my young child. Great. I like being acknowledged and helped, if even in the smallest way. What I don't love, is getting to the counter and hearing my cashier speaking with another cashier about the customers before me and how rotten they are and how much they annoy my cashier. Not cool, but at least I wasn't one of those annoying customers so perhaps my experience handing over my money would be better. So I try to make friendly, simple conversation as she rings me up...and get nothing but cold, hard attitude in return. Not a smile, not a response- she literally repeated what I said and rolled her eyes. She then stared at me with pursed lips and annoyed eyes as I pulled out money to pay- I clearly wasn't moving fast enough for her. Final greeting was her chance to save the day...and she failed in the most phony, snarky way possible. I've always had less than stellar experiences at this williams Sonoma, but this takes the cake. I won't be returning, except to return the items I purchased today that I'll be repurchasing from their mall-neighbors, who consistently provide fantastic customer...
Read moreI went into WS store today to check out some knife sets. I suffers from auto immune disease that affects my wrists and it is very important to me that knife won’t be too heavy for me to handle. A older lady approached me and helped me getting the Wusthof’s chef knife out of the locked glass storage. I held a knife with my left hand and placed my index finger on top of the blade to mimic the chopping motion. She immediately commented on my posture saying that I am not holding the knife correctly and that’s why it’s causing a strain in my wrist. Sometimes, I feel a weakness in my wrist and all of sudden I can lose a grip. By placing the index finger on top of blade helps me control the blade if I ever lose a grip. The comment from her was very unnecessary. Multiple times, she mentioned that she has a long experience in cooking. I understand that my husband and I are young couple but we don’t deserve to be a treated like a little kid shopping...
