Be warned. You have a better shot at a correctly cooked meal at Burger King.
It is really disappointing because they have a great atmosphere, excellent service, and very nice employees. The bread and butter were top notch. Whiskey shrimp was delish, kale salad a little dry, halibut was tasty but they completely overcooked my medium steak to a dark gray. The manager came to correct it and he offered me a new steak at no charge. Unfortunately the 2nd steak took 15-20 minutes and came out literally like sushi, (ahi tuna style) completely raw. Not sure what was going on but for a steakhouse to be only capable of charring a steak to gray or undercooking so badly that it looks raw is not very good. The manager comped the whole meal and due to this and the quality of the service I will definitely be giving them a 2nd chance.
UPDATE: I have given this "steakhouse" FOUR different tries now and they have failed miserably to cook a steak even adequately any of the four times. They are literally 0/4. I can cook 6 steaks on my grill at different temperatures for different people better than these professional steak house chefs. This is disappointing because this is such a nice restaurant and most of their food is good. They charge steakhouse prices and advertise themselves as a steakhouse so you would think they could cook a $50 steak to medium and not bring it out dark gray. Kind of comedic but not really. Their manager Angela was super apologetic and asked us to return and promised to make things right. We'll give them one final chance and then I'm either going into the kitchen to cook my steak myself or going up the road to Beelow's which has ALWAYS been excellent.
Just tried them again for curbside takeaway. Ordered 3 items and prepaid. Got home to discover they left my wife's dinner out of the bag, despite charging us for it. The trio of medallions were ordered medium rare and came out medium well and dry, dry, dry. NO JUICE. NO TASTE. Time and time again they fail at producing even an average steak. If this was Olive Garden I'd expect a bad to mediocre steak, for a steak house it's rather...
Read moreWhere do I start! The restaurant is beautiful! Took my cousin out for a hot date and we got there earlier than our reservation so we sat at the bar for cocktails. The tenders at the bar were amazing and personable! The drinks were delicious and I loved the touch of popcorn instead of "peanuts". We noticed they had blue cheese in the fridge and asked what it was used for, they told us that they stuffed fresh olives with blue cheese and allowed us to try one... DIIIIVINE!!!
Then it was off to dinner. Our waitress was Abby, she was so adorbs and down to earth. She explained everything when we had questions and made sure we lacked nothing. The rolls were piping hot when it came to the table. I loved them because they were so small and reminded me of beignets but savory. We ordered appetizers and while Abby was explaining the entrees, another host came and slid the appetizers on our table ever so smoothly and they were FRESH! Teamwork!
When our entree came out, I had ordered the Medalion Trio and while it has potential, I ordered them medium and they came out done done. Jason, the manager, stepped right in and fixed the issue without an issue! He was so amazing. I don't think I've ever had a manager crush but the way he handled my issue.. Heeeey Jason! lol Seriously, he is the poster guy for how you handle a customer complaint and make them want to come back again.
I would come back only if I could sit in Abby's section while Jason is managing the team. It was delightful and even though its a drive from my home, I will drive again just for the service.
What I recommend: Sparkling Lemonade (OMG!!!!) Crab Cake (Yes they use real lumped crab) The Rolls Ribeye (Tender and cooked to perfection) Au Gratin Potatoes and the Asparagus CARROT CAKE!!!!...
Read moreWe used to go here since this opened, before California Pizza kitchen and Red Robin came. The atmosphere and staff were always top notch. In the last 6-9 months, their staff seemed really rude and stood around socializing before taking care of patrons. We stopped going and last week ordered food to pick up through Door Dash. My husband came through the front and 5 girls, (he counted), didn’t acknowledge him, and eventually told him to go to the bar. The older woman at the bar, who’s been there awhile, (dark hair in a bun), was so rude. Apparently she doesn’t like DoorDash orders. She walked away with a look of disgust when my husband said DoorDash. A younger bartender with red hair asks 10 minutes later and my husband gives his name, and she does the same face. 20 minutes later, she walks over to the bags that have been sitting on the counter at the kitchen and grabs them and hands them to my husband. My husband tells her that those have been sitting there since he walked in. She proceeds to say they just came out and she never saw them before. He mentions that she never looked back there when he gave his name. She gives him a look and waves him away and mumbles and walks away. Needless to say, our food was cold. When I heard what happened, I call to ask for a manager and no one will help me. I predict Stoney River will be closing if they continue being lax and not caring about their patrons. They lost a long time customer and with Red Robin gone and Ancho and Agave there, plus a lot of other new restaurants, we’ll spend our money there. Long review, but...
