I had a rough experience here today. It was probably my first and last visit. My appointment was at 3:45 with Frieda. I arrived maybe 5-7 minutes early and she said “I’ve been waiting for you” as if I was late. I have long hair and wanted something relatively simple - to cut a little bit of length and some long layers, what I already have but just freshening it up. Frieda asked for a picture and I said I didn’t have one. She started looking pictures up and said “well don’t just sit there staring at me, you look too.” I found one and I will say she produced the hairstyle well, but the whole appointment was uncomfortable. She got my face super wet when she shampooed my hair, and yanked and pulled my hair throughout the appt. I left with a migraine because of it. Worst of all, when she finished styling my hair, she said “you look like a teenager! When you walked in here you looked like an old woman.” I’m 32. I was so hurt.

As far as price, she told me the haircuts are $85+. Because my hair is long, she said she’d likely need to charge me $120+. I said that was fine. She charged me $125 and I tipped $20 to be polite, for a total of $145. I wouldn’t mind this pricing for a good experience where I’m treated with kindness, but it felt like a lot after a...

Shana is an artist and magician. She transformed me for a holiday party in December and I reached out to her again for an event yesterday. She went above and beyond my expectations again. Just when I didn’t think I could love her work any more than I already do, she used her expertise and creativity to glam me up again. I showed her the dress I was wearing and she picked a look that was beyond my imagination. I received many compliments! Other DBB clients were asking Shana for help while I sat in her chair.

Also, I haven’t seen Aseem and Sheri since last year but they remembered me, said hello and made me feel so welcomed like part of the Del Beauty Box family. The vibe in the salon is so warm and everyone in there was happy and full of energy. I have another event in December and am so excited to be back to see Shana and DBB family.

The before and after comparison is a testament to Shana’s amazing talents and skills. Thank you for making me look and feel so GLAM!

Terrible hair cut experience, I get there at 10:00 as they open and no one knows how to turn the air on so I am sweating until the owner arrives midway through my haircut which by this time I am sweating.

Now to the hair cut, My stylist decides to turn me away from the mirror which makes no sense since she left me there and walked around me, so why couldn't see keep me looking at the mirror? She was very timid and at one point showed me how much she was cutting and asked if that was enough at which point I told her I didn't know because I can't see myself in the mirror and her response was ok and continued.

When she finally turns me, my haircut is totally uneven. I am a male with short hair on the sides and a little longer on top, what is so difficult? I point out to her that she cut half the top of my hair the same length of my sides and left the front long, her response was I showed you how much I was cutting.
