We will never go to this restaurant again. When we sat down we were asked if we wanted to drink sparkling, still or tap water. When we ordered tap water our waitress seemed slightly perturbed. We ordered the charcuterie board, a side of garlic fries and then various menu items including the double cut pork chops, chicken, spaghetti and beet salad. The charcuterie board came out first. Our waitress recommended a second order of pita bread since there were so many of us, and the $6 that we were charged more for exactly six tiny triangles of pita bread the size of a tortilla chip. Every item on the charcuterie board was a tiny ball, about the size of a ping-pong ball. The only meat was about six very thin half slices of salami. One of the scoops was whole grain mustard (so, from a jar...), and a few slices of cucumber which seems rather meek for a $26 board. We waited patiently for our food for over almost an hour. Our waitress never stopped at our table to check on us let alone did she even glance in our direction. After waiting for so long and being near the brink of starvation I got up to talk to her and asked what was going on with our food. She said ours was the next ticket. I asked about the order of truffle fries and she said she had put it into come with the food. Ten minutes later our food arrived with the exception of the one plate of pasta which took another 15 minutes. The chicken dishes were hot and apparently well-cooked but under seasoned. The double cut pork chop looked fairly decent but was also under seasoned and a huge corner of it was completely raw. Not rare but raw. When we pointed it out to the waitress, she quickly replied "well you can eat pork medium rare." This was an unacceptable answer. My husband quickly pointed out to her that it was raw not rare and then it shouldn't be served to a child. She asked us what we wanted her to do about it. We stared at her blankly waiting for her to offer us something, and all she said was that she could take that piece in particular back to the kitchen and have them fire it again. Sure enough she came back ten minutes with the piece which was closer to medium or medium rare. This was alarming. You should not take food that's been half eaten back to a kitchen and fire it. I find this to be very unsanitary. Any decent restaurant would have cooked her another pork chop and brought it out to the table or given us the food gratIs. They did neither, nor did they apologize. The final meal that was brought to the table was the spaghetti which admittedly you would think would be hard to mess up however it was again under seasoned and the spaghetti was overcooked almost mushy and it had a huge sheet of crispy cheese on top which was not at all attractive or tasty. My beet salad consisted of mostly of arugula with only four small wedges of golden beets and again the tiny ping pong ball of goat cheese on top. We couldn't wait to leave this restaurant and I would definitely not recommend going. The service was terrible the value for the money was even worse. It left a bad taste in our mouths, no...
Read moreIf our waitress would have been more attentive and kind, I would give this restaurant 5 stars. I don’t remember her name, but if the manager is reading this we made reservations for 7:45 on Friday, August 19th and sat by the hallway where the servers come out. The food was exceptional but the waitress was not. My mom, sister and I were visiting from out of state. Even though we made our reservation for 7:45, we were not super hungry so wanted to see if we could share plates or get appetizers as our meal. I asked how big the salmon dinner plate was because my sister and I were thinking about sharing it. She got the sense that we were thinking about splitting it, so she under exaggerated how big the salmon was. We got our plates and realized they were more than double the size she said they were. I ended up eating almost all of mine because I didn’t want it to go to waste, but my sister wasn’t able to finish hers. We realized we could’ve gotten an appetizer as a meal or shared this plate. She was also not attentive to us. I think she was more focused on the $300+ tab tables that were ordering a lot of alcohol. I guess because we didn’t order alcohol and weren’t ordering a bunch of food, she figured she would be getting a small tip from us. As someone who has been a server throughout high school and college, I don’t think I could ethically under exaggerate plate sizes, then just leave my table in the dust to focus on my 6+ top tables. I don’t mean to rag on the server, but we really felt like we were unimportant to her the whole night. I think she needs an attitude check as we could feel she had this sense of...
Read moreThis restaurant goes to show that just because the food has a high price tag, that doesn't mean it's good. This was the first time in a Long time where I've gone out to eat somewhere and genuinely couldn't even finish the dish because it was so bad. I ordered the lamb chops and yes I know they're supposed to be rare, but these practically felt raw. Maybe the kitchen closed for the night and they decided to cut the gas on the stove a bit early. Aside from the lamb chops themselves, even the polenta and the sauce (especially the sauce) were not very good. I've never had something that was so bitter and sour and just overall Bad at a restaurant. Moving on to the seafood risotto, the rice was basically just soaking in a seafood broth that kind of just tasted like they poured in the water they used to prepare the muscles and shrimp. On top of this, all of the seafood was just rubbery. We also got the salmon ballottine and the flavors just did not go well together, and the bell pepper pico they served it with just kind of felt like it was left over from another dish. Nothing seemed coherent. The only good thing we ate was the pita bread. Ambiance seemed fun if you're on the main balcony but if you don't make it out there, you're basically just sitting at the entry way of this business complex as everyone walks by your table to get in and out of the restaurant. Would not recommend. Already left disappointed but the cherry on top that made me want to write this review is that this morning my boyfriend and I both woke up feeling so nauseous. Major bummer since we were just trying to have a nice...
