Met my brother there 3/18/23, to catch some of the trout the state had stocked there, 2 days prior, well, that didn't turn out like it should have, we didn't even get a bite, let alone land any trout, that's why it's called fishing, and not catching, I guess, I don't think the state stocked as many this year as they have in the past. The park itself is very clean, very nice, popular with kids and adults alike, plenty of playground equipment for kids, nice place for someone to walk thier dog as well, good place for family gatherings, picnics, and for teaching youngsters to fish, only complaint, there aren't any restrooms there, either go to a local store outside the park, or find a tree. Read moreBeautiful place near West William Street and just west of Elizabeth Street on King Avenue. It's clean, monitored and well-maintained with a playground and restrooms. Be sure to keep an eye on small children with the quarry pond nearby for fishing only. There's a decent amount of parking; the shelter house that can be reserved seats up to 70+ but that's not physically-distancing. A couple of sports courts are available. A great place for the family to relax and enjoy the outdoors just off West William Street (US 36) and east of the Hidden Valley Golf Course. Parking Tip: Don't use the parking lot just east of King Avenue on John Street. That's Ohio Weslyan University...
Read moreReally nice smaller park in Delaware County. Plenty of parking around different areas of the park. Overall the park isn't very big but it gives you enough space to feel relaxed. I went to try my hand at fishing, they had just stocked the pound. I didn't catch anything but there were plenty of others having success. The pound has a great set up for fishers. The playground looked to be decent and well maintained. I didn't notice if they had any picnic areas/shelters. I'll have to investigate next time I'm there. Overall it's a nice metro park and I know I'll be checking out out again...
