The framing department seems to be lacking, in both knowledge and customer care. I had 3 employees notice me, and not one of them asked if i was finding everything alright. I understand that when you see a customer and you say something to them, they will probably ask a question and then you will have to engage them in conversation,... and that might not be what you want to do at that moment. But, GUESS WHAT?! That is exactly what you get paid to do! To ask people if they need help, and if they are finding what they are looking for! As a retail sales person, it is your duty to ask customers what they need, what they need help with, and what they are looking around your store for. Then, it is your job to point them in the correct direction, help them find what they need for their project, and maybe even help them figure out what they need for the project in the first place. Its called customers service, or customer relations, or you can call it just being helpful. Helpful employees make customers want to spend their money at your store. Helpful employees make customers want to come back to your store when they need something for their next project. Helpful employees get your store a higher google rating. The only reason i gave you 3 stars today, was because the cashier was actually helpful,... well, mostly. She asked if i found everything ok, and after being in the store looking at frames, (and trying to get the framing person to help me), for well over an hour, i told her i did eventually find something that will work, though it wasn't what i was looking for. She asked me if i was part of your rewards program, i told her i did not think so, but then she never actually asked if i wanted to join or suggest that i sign up.... just finished my transaction and handed my purchase to me. I thought that was a bit odd too, but hey, par for the...
Read moreUsed to shop there every time me and husband but now we can't because Michaels won't let you in without a mask we have a 10 x 30 room full of Michaels craft materials but because we can't breath fresh air with a mask on which restricts our breathing and makes our bodies heat up and then become light headed to almost the point of passing out because of carbon dioxide poisoning caused by the mask on, we are band from the store now, other retailers allow us in because of the inability to wear them, CDC said on their web sit the other day that you can't spread it this way and after temps rise the virus dyes, and we are tested every day because we both work at location that are doing test and we don't have a fewer which is a sign that tells you your body is fighting off something, if the body has no signs of it and you don't have a fever it don't exist in that person and you can't spread it to someone if you don't have it, look at the president of the USA and governor no mask no worries simple as that, mask are to be worn to prevent someone from catching something from someone that is sick. Still have not gone back to this store because the way we were treated and to this day did not wear the mask no shots stayed away from doctors that were lieing and still are we must be doing something right which we do...
Read moreI've always loved Michael's and just stopping in to see what is new and buying thing I didn't know I needed. I was disappointed at the lack of coupons and variety of options this visit. I stopped for a football display case and was taken back at the $80 price tag. Unfortunately I went to hobby lobby and purchased a nice on for $18. I never go to hobby lobby but with the economy the way it is, thrifty shopping is a must these days. Though the $80 quality may have been there, it wasn't in my budget. I still left with a few items i didn't go in for but having to do the self check out on top of not having any coupons in the app will make me think twice the next time I need a supply. The stsff also seemed more concerned about chatting with each other than assisting me in finding a product advertised on a sign. An I don't know where they are, would been better served with a let me see if we have...
