Well they were great starting off but sadly I found how they really operate within a couple weeks of my initial appointment. I had my first appointment to establish care and do routine bloodwork etc. During this appointment, I got a referral for a program they offer that had me feeling optimistic and hopeful that I could finally get the support I felt I needed. So I waited for them to give me a call to set up my second appointment- and I waited, and waited, and waited. I called the clinic to get connected with this person and after about 3 calls trying to get through to said person, I was finally able to leave her a message. Now I will say she was very prompt calling me back. We got the appointment set up and I’m feeling good again. Flash forward to a week ago. They call me right before my appointment saying they are having a maintenance emergency and they need to reschedule. No problem, things happen. I’m rescheduled to a few days later. On my way to rescheduled appointment, they call and say they still can’t see me. At this point, I’m very upset because I’ve missed an entire days pay from work not to mention this particular appointment is necessary to get a medication I’m prescribed to. She apologizes profusely (again I know this isn’t the providers fault, however this is not acceptable patient care either way). She says that due to my inconveniences, she will put a note to the pharmacy to let me fill ahead of my appointment. Awesome! I was super grateful and went about my business. Flash forward to a couple days ago- called the pharmacy (they NEVER answer btw- you must leave a message) left my message. The woman who called me back... Omg probably the RUDEST person I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to in healthcare. Says “I don’t even know how YOU got a referral, you should just pay full price for your meds at your local pharmacy” I said ma’am unfortunately I can’t do that my medicines price is astronomically high, this is why I’m coming to this clinic for help. She does not care shows no empathy at all. Tells me that she would not fill my prescription anyway. To me it was her saying “get lost we don’t care to help you” She flat out told me I’m not as important as other patients and I’ll just have to figure it out on my own. I have gone to many tribal clinics from here to Montana and have never been treated so poorly. My grandmother is a retired very well regarded accountant for IHS and is appalled on what is going on here. I am currently still trying to work on getting my one medicine filled-an entire month after my appointment where it was prescribed!! This is just plain negligent and dangerous if you ask me (or anyone else that’s reasonable). Don’t come here if you need any sort of urgent care or help because they are a totally shoddy operation and don’t care about their patients at...
Read moreI too had a decent initial visit here, but unfortunately it's been abysmal ever since.
Providers are apathetic and clueless, much more likely to throw an unnecessary medication at you than actually find out what's wrong, or work with you to manage conditions with nutrition and exercise. After seeing me ONCE, their nurse practitioner prescribed an antidepressant based on nothing more than my honest answers on their depression screening, with no follow-up or monitoring of how this medication would affect me. After feeling suicidal and worse than I have in years, I stopped taking the medication.
And the last straw for me: I scheduled an appointment over a month ago, only to be told today (A DAY before the appointment??) that my appointment's been cancelled and it will have to be "referred out." Really? No one bothered to check this when I made the appointment? Or for the entire month after?
As someone without insurance, I came here as a last resort. I shouldn't have even bothered. Now I'm stuck with more health problems than I started with, and no hope of getting anything taken care of...
Read moreThis facility is a travesty. They are hired to heal and help people. Instead, they choose to kick vital appointments for health and healing down the road with absurd excuses each step of the way. The clinical staff are sympathetic enough, but when it comes to interactions with basically any other department—especially the pharmacy—you might as well count yourself lucky to get a voicemail box. They are some of the rudest staff you could ever encounter. Having to go to a health related appointment is a stressful enough situation without having to worry about how the staff will treat you in any capacity. I wish anyone who has the great misfortune of relying on this clinic for care luck in actually receiving the...
