It took me a moment to write this as I was upset and I wanted to really get my thoughts together... Facility- clean Front staff- Pleasant Technical staff - Pleasant This is where my experience changes. I had a difficult body part to MRI and due to me being claustrophobic I had to be placed in a special unit that handles just that specific body part. I know my technician tried her best but I left the appointment in pain, numb with a cold hand. I sat in the parking lot for ten minutes waiting for dexterity to return to my hand so I would be able to drive home because I was worried about handling my vehicle with my hand not being fully operational. I should add I asked for the MRI of my thumb be discontinued due to the excruciating pain I was in. I came in with no pain at all and left in pain. Again I understand the technician did what she could but it was just a hard experience. I think the one thing that pushed me over the edge was the fact of the gathering of staff in the room right outside the test room. The noise, laughing and jumping around while I was trying to stay as still as possible was not only distracting but very annoying, rude and inconsiderate and I could see them . For many years I worked in the medical field and that is one of my biggest must not. When a patient is being cared for that focus should be on the patient. Read moreI've been to several imaging centers in Northern NJ, this place, the Denville location, was busy, but the wait wasn't that long. I'm a former healthcare worker, and over my lifetime, I've had several MRI's, CT's, and other types of imaging done. I came here due to my former imaging center no longer taking my insurance. Because I was having a brain MRI, I prefer a site that offers 'open' MRI. I had several done, so I knew what to expect-so I thought. The tech that ushered me in and set me up was great. The past facilities always used headphones with music. I was surprised, the facility DOES NOT offer headphones. They gave me flimsy foam ear buds that didn't even stay in my ears. The purpose of the scan was for an ear tumor. My doctor can't stress enough to protect my hearing! If you've ever had an MRI, it's like a 747 landing in the room. I told the tech that it was very loud, but she 'assured' me the flimsy foam earbuds would protect my hearing. If I knew they didn't have proper ear protection, I would have gone somewhere else or the very least, brought my own. As I said, I've had this test at another facility in the past and it takes about an hour. Here, it was about 30 minutes. My ride was even surprised I was done so quickly. The time it took to burn the CD took longer. Now I'm questioning if it was done correctly. Needless to say, I won't be back here, and lesson learned when making my next appointment...check that the facility uses proper...
Read moreHonestly, I can say I’m very disappointed with this specific facility with the staff. I’ve been to other image care facilities for multiple ultrasounds, mri & care with never having an issue. My appointment time was for 730 which is what I was told when I made the appointment IN PERSON, I called the Facility to let them know that I would be five minutes late due to traffic on 80 as I’m not from the area and had no way of knowing how busy that would be even though I gave myself an extra 5 to 10 minutes to get there. When I called, I was told that I was supposed to be there at 7:15. Which the person who was booking my appointment failed to tell me. I was also met with, If I was more than five minutes late, I would have to reschedule even though I drove 40 minutes at 6:50 AM, Fasted for eight hours and gave them a 20 minute courtesy call to let them know I would be 5 minutes late. I explained that I have no control over traffic or car accidents & was met with a sarcastic rebuttal, well the staff does not control the scheduling. which is odd considering they are the ones who make the schedule to make appointments. After hanging up I called my doctor and she agreed how ridiculous that was, apologized on their behalf and sent me a script to one of my previous locations. Will not be returning. Nothing against the staff just preferably don’t want people who are this rude and incompetent to be handling...
