Stay away unless you want your time wasted. I showed up early to my appointment and checked in on my phone. I went to the door and a guy stopped me asking if I was a walk in or appointment. I told him I had an appointment and gave him my name. He had a clipboard and confirmed my appointment and told me I had to wait outside the front door until they were ready for me(clear glass, I was visible to everyone in the waiting room). After 10 minutes, another woman shows up he tells her to wait behind me. This guy keeps greeting people at the door and knew I was standing there. After a half hour he tells me that I can come in. A woman asks my name and then says with an attitude "You're just getting here now? We asked for you like 15 times" to which I replied "No, I got here early. He made me wait outside the front door and he never told me" She doesn't say anything and takes my temperature. He says he does not remember doing that(probably because he was on his phone the entire time..very professional! Especially when people are dying for jobs right now) and the woman that was standing behind me points out how long I was standing there and how he knew I was waiting. Once in the waiting room, they kept calling people who had later appointments than I did. I asked multiple times why I was being skipped with little response. Then I was told to check in... I had already checked in FOUR TIMES at this point (on my phone, with the guy with the clipboard at the door, with the woman who took my temperature, on their tablet in the waiting room) in addition to speaking with numerous staff members! This whole time I had remained polite and calm. Finally a woman came out and said to one of the staff "Who is the next patient?" To which they replied a different name than mine and I finally said "No. I am the next patient." And went back. I was there for a 3 hour Glucose Tolerance test to check for insulin resistance. To have to be there for 3 hours was inconvenient enough but then they didn't even see me for over an hour after I had gotten there. All the while -not one person apologized to me. The only person who was kind and competent was Margaret. I wish I knew the names of the other staff. She did most of blood drawing on my left arm and there was not bruising. Another woman did my two hour blood draw because Margaret had another patient. I told this woman that Margaret couldn't find a vein in my right arm and that this happens to me a lot so that the left arm was being used. She says "No. We have to use the right arm" and stabbed my right arm in the most unusual location ... I've never seen blood drawn like this. I'm not a baby, blood work doesn't bother me but this was just bizarre. I had the most bruising from bloodwork I have ever seen in my right arm that had one vial taken from. My left arm(done by Margaret) had blood drawn 3 separate times with about 7 vials and didn't bruise at all! This was a very frustrating experience but I did not plan on writing a review considering the times we are in and I do not usually write reviews. I am an understanding person and things happen. However- after following up with my doctor today...they did not even conduct the test correctly! They never tested my insulin so she could not determine if I was insulin resistant and says I have to get the test done again! All of that for nothing!! I hope that my experience was just an anomaly, but I definitely do not recommend getting tested for insulin resistance...
Read moreI have never left a negative review, for anything. But I feel compelled to express how utterly disgusted I was with the service provided by this laboratory. I am a health care professional. I was there for a pre-employment, mandatory urine drug screening. I have never been treated with this much disrespect. The technologist (her name might have been Loretta… that’s what it said on the wall) was shockingly rude, rolled her eyes at me constantly, was short and snippy, turned her back to me and walked out of the room as I was asking a question. Barked orders like I was a child. Handed a dirty urine cup back to me by putting it right in front of my face, so that I could throw it out myself (in a garbage pail right between the 2 of us). I can only assume that she was judging me for the type of test this was, although it was for pre-employment for a position in the medical field and has absolutely nothing to do with prior drug use! I would NEVER treat another person like this. When I walked out into the waiting room and made a comment about the way I had just been treated, 2 other customers commented “yes, this place is the absolute worst. You are treated so disrespectfully and we hate coming here.” I’m sure this review is meaningless because most people probably don’t CHOOSE Quest, they just get sent there by their doctor or insurance company. But if you have an actual choice, STEER CLEAR and find...
Read moreI had to drop off to Denville today and walked in as a standby since there was no available appointments and the rude phlebotomist made it clear I had to drop it off the next day. I waited 30 minute before finally asking if I can just drop it off. The phlebotomist named Loretta said we will get to you when we can. I said I been waiting 30 minutes and I have to go to work. She rudely said “ sorry” as in I’m not going to even try to help you so I walked out and had to throw the whole urine container in the garbage. I had to go to work and couldn’t wait there all morning just to drop something off. That’s ridiculous! I will never go there again. Atleast labcorp has a reception area where you can drop off specimens. Also that lady Loretta is extremely rude and unprofessional. I have a fear of needles and would prefer professional understanding and sympathetic phlebotomists if I’m going to feel comfortable getting stuck with needles. Empathy should be a must for a...
